for the D/C, i just use a regular C chord

for the D/C#, you can use the F#m chord or just leave out that chord altogether.

thanks. it was made from a kit that i got from papa's boxes. i don't think he sells them anymore, but it basically came with a real cigar box, a neck, bridge, tuners, then you just had to assemble and finish it.
