Unfortunately replaying on a previously completed difficulty will NOT let you start with obtained weapons and health.

don't get me wrong, i like the atmosphere and characters as well, but after playing the 360 version, you can't help but feel that this version is censored. even sigma 1, although it has less "dimemberment", has a much better blood effetct. although, to be truthful, sigma 1 is a much better made game overall...nicer graphics, better flow, more of an adventure game then straight action. the story in 2, all versions, is very confusing and seems to have nothing to do with the other game.

I will admit, the purple stuff is uncalled for, and I also admit that the series can use blood to effectively present the game. But the problem is that there are some people that called NG2 better than the first game because of the more copious amounts of blood. The thing is, the game is pretty much an established f*** you to Tomonobu Itagaki from Tecmo. He was the one who loved the idea of so much blood in a video game.

The thing was, uhftfh, that I felt that in order for Ninja Gaiden to be satisfying to you at all, there would HAVE to be a LOT of blood in it. I may have misunderstood, and if so I apologize. However, let me remind you that the main focus of a video game is not the graphics: It's how it plays, and this has been proven many times. And so far, while it isn't as bloody, this version of NG2 is shaping up to be an improvement over the original. That is much more important than the gore factor.

thats ok man, i agree that gameplay is most important. the first ninja gaiden is one of the best gaming experiences ever for me, likewise with ng2, but it was a different experience, all that blood made me feel like i was playin a badass ninja anime killin hundreds of people n blood flyin everywhere..its crazy. sigma 2 is gonna be badass, but it wont have that badass n bloody ninja anime feel.. for me anyway..but im sure it will have the best gameplay as with any ninja gaiden game

Thanks, and again, I can see where you're coming from with the exhilaration from the blood and all. Kill Bill is awesome for almost exactly the same reason, aside from Tarantino's brilliant skill in filmmaking. In fact, I don't even mind the blood in NG2 at all, it's just that some people mainly praised the blood instead of the exhilarating combat. So I don't care if NGS2 has as much blood or not, it's gonna rock either way.
