Get the Ibanez man. I compared it to a Marshall JCM 2000 DSL side by side and the ibanez sounded a tiny bit better and it's less than half the price of the marshall. you won't regret it. Plus it is 150 watts so your covered for basically any venue
my friend has the ibanez head. it has a great sound but doesnt cut through as well as a lot of amps due to the vast mid scoop. even when the mids are cranked. my marshall 100watt can be heard better even at a lower volume just because it has a fuller midrange and cuts through better. so maybe id stay from the ibanez.
if you're looking for metal tone go randall or the ibanez. Randall pwns for metal they're the gods of metal amps but listen to some divine heresy Dino uses the toneblaster he's got a killer sound! But the randall is way better quality than ibanez
the B-52 is the best option for it is an all valve amp, but i've heard they have loads of manufacturing issues, check for used Yamaha heads, they were designed by one of the crucial engineers in the making of Soldano and Mesa's rectos and are fairly priced. The ..And justice for all sound is full Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifiers, in that album they made the transition from Marshalls
The Ibanez TBX 150 actually sounds amazing for a $250 head. but for the tone your looking for i'd recommend a Line 6 HD100 or HD 147. If you already have a head i'd just get a PODX3 Live they are amazing. Even the Spider IV can sound good if you know how to dial it in.
You really aren't going to get a Metallica tone out of any of those amps. Simple because Metallica played Marshalls in the 80's then switched to Mesa Boogie on either ..And Justice for All or the Black Album i'm not sure. Anyway, If you are looking for that specific tone and don't have the money for a Triple Rec or Dual Rec I'd go with Line 6. Their tones won't be exact but it's about as close as you can come with a solid state. Also, creating you OWN tone will get you much further!
spend a little more... Buy a USED Dual Rectifier and run an EQ in the effects loop to cut MID frequencies... use active pickups (EMG81s or Blackouts)...
none of the above go ahead and put 2 or 3 hundred dolars and buy a used marshall or mesa either a combo or get the head and a cheep cab like the bugera 412h-bk or the marshall mg serious but the cab will put another 250-300 on the price
also it sounds really similar to a mesa-boogie...b-52 stealth series is also hand made in the US unlike the other amps u were looking at buying. mesa is also hand made us stuff, but it costs way too much. i hope iv'e helped!
it really depends on what kind of tone you're looking for. i work in a music shop and we're dealers of all the above including mesa boogie. for what i like, i bought the b-52 st-6012. it's heavy (around 80lbs) but it's worth the lug and tug. you can't beat it's clean tone and its crunch is phenomenal. it doesn't have extremely heavy distortion, but stick a boss md-2 in front of it and u have a dream rig! trust me!
I own the Randall RH150. Shits awesome man. I never regretted buyin it. Nor will i ever replace it. Durable, you have a lot of range on tone and Gain, and its loud.
no brainer....B-52...I had the AT 100 full stack---SERIOUS AMP---G.C. has a few around the country advertised online under :used gear" & you can still buy the combos new
si quieres sonido metallica tienes que ir a mesa boogie... pero si no tienes presupuesto yo tengo el randall rh300 G3 Y SUENA MUY BIEN!!! es un sonido grueso y poderoso!!! TE LO RECOMIENDO
I know that the rhg3 plus sounds better than the rg50tc as it has more gain and better eq settings like a swoop and mid voicing, however I don't know anything about the others
no marshall can match the gain this kids b-52 can your comment is totally closed minded. there are a number of guitar players that use randalls, behringers and even laney amps.
What style do you want to play? Which guitarists do you look up to? If it's metal and rock then Mesa, Marshall, Laney... or alternative rock Fender or Carvin... Valve power sections give you the real tone not preamp tubes... and how loud... a 50w valve will ALWAYS be much louder than a 100w trany amp... cheers!

I was going to get the G3plus but i then decided to get the ibanez i like it better than the randall. I have played for 12 years now and ran through old amps and new amps i like the Ibanez sound.
Its true, if you are getting static then its due to a weak chord or picking up a tv or an electronic device. These amps are dead quite and it sounds really great.
Out of the ones you mentioned, I would get the Ibanez TBX150H. I know its a solid state, and not a tube amp, but that thing sounds SO good. Plus, you can knock it around without damaging any tubes. If you have your heart set on a tube amp, try a Peavey JSX. Best all around amp ever.
the differences are shrinking every day.. it wont be too long before solid state is capable of completely and entirely replicating tube amp sounds at a lower cost, and greater reliability too.. so im fine with modern solid states

Well if you want the Metallica sound you should get the Randall Kirk Hammett half stack...but if you will only buy an amp that you have listed, I would definitely have to reccomend the Randall RH150.
well, you'll have to try all these amps yourself, considering half are tube, one is a hybrid while the other is a full transistor amp. You if you're looking for versatility, you can also check at the line 6's.
and to bloodynata... fuck dual rectifiers, thats mud city.
i find these videos kind of pointless....you should go with an amp sound that hits you in the heart most....i would personally go with one of the randalls but seriously...push comes to shove you gotta choose one...thats gotta be your choice....not someone else's.
I'd go with the Randall. If you want to deal with a tube amp, get the rg50tc, otherwise, stick to the rh150g3. Even though it's a solid state it sounds amazing, and it will be pretty much maintenance free. I own a combo version of the g3 series. It has plenty of good sounding gain for death metal and a good clean channel. Not to mention Randalls are pretty reliable. For the price, you cant go wrong with a Randall. I think you'll find the tubes deliver quality of sound you're looking for without the added manufactured tone the output of most solid states seem to deliver.
It all depends on your budget. For metal, tube is the way to go over solid state - I would highly recommend Peavey's JSX and 6505 models if you want to spend between $1000-1500 on a head alone. If you are willing to spend more, I'd say go with any ENGL - the powerball is a personal favorite.
you already have a cabinet right? cuz i say B52 AT100 tube head. one of the cheapest high gain tube heads, and assuming your playing gigs, i say it would be great. theres also a 20 watt krank revolution jr head (which is loud enough for a gig if hooked up to a good cab as opposed to popular belief). it doesnt have a footswitch though. finally, if you look used, you could find a used peavey XXX combo, its 40w all tube and its great for metal.its discontinued but you can find it used for $500
Yeah, I have a homemade 2x12 cab with Peavey speakers. But the ST-6012 is the same except it is a combo with Celestion Vintage 30's. But, I think I want to go Randall because on all the YouTube vids of the RH150 sound awesome, but all the vids of the AT-100 sound bad. Also the RG50TC sounds bad too. And the guy at Guitar Center wouldnt let me try the AT-100. I cant try the Randall because the closest dealer is 73 miles away.
Hey i just got an amp 4 days ago. I got a line 6 spider 3. It's an amazing jamming amp. It has great distortion tones for death metal like necrophagist. And it has over 400 presets. That mean songs or band presets are already set for you. Metalica is one of them. Mine was 800 dollars with the pedal and im in love with it. It's not one of the ones you picked out. But trust me look at the line 6 spider 3 amps :P
the Ibanez. i as well play technical death metal, and thrash metal. its perfect really. none of your notes clash. each note is heard distinctively.

you already have a cabinet right? cuz i say B52 AT100 tube head. one of the cheapest high gain tube heads, and assuming your playing gigs, i say it would be great. theres also a 20 watt krank revolution jr head (which is loud enough for a gig if hooked up to a good cab as opposed to popular belief). it doesnt have a footswitch though. finally, if you look used, you could find a used peavey XXX combo, its 40w all tube and its great for metal.its discontinued but you can find it used for $500

Yeah, but I dont think I want a modeling amp. And I tried one at the store, but didnt like it.

i hate to be so opinion based, every one of the amps on his list is at least 5 times better than a spider...
