I agree that this game is good and agree with what you guys are saying, but in my opinion for me it seem kind of strange that sonic has this story and possibly a relationship with an actual human. As in sonic 06.... sometimes i just wish they would go back to the roots where he and dr. eggman were at battle and sonic was saving woodland creatures. Still a good game though

HellfireComms, i have a question about Sonic and the Black Knight, i have Sonic and the Secret Ring and i liked it, but the controls and the OnRails gameplay didnt really fit the gameplay, and my question is, is this Sonci and the Black Knight the same? Is it on Rails? Can you stop Sonic if you want and how do you control him left and right? the same way has Sonic and the Secret Rings? or not?

It's like Secret Rings, except without the auto-movement.

I.E. you can stop if you want to, move left and right when need be etc., but you're still locked on a track of sorts.

Thanks, i like the fact that you can stop in this game, in Secret Ring the fact you could not stop, only hiting the brake, maked the game more frustratiing then it needed to be, the controlls also look like a inprovement over Secret rings, also another question, is this game longer then Secret Rings? because Secret Rings was short, toke me a weak to unlook Dark Spines Sonic and fight the final boss,

@dinizgames Its a lot easier here, because you use the nunchuck and the wii remote instead of just the wii remote itself. It basically is like in sonic heroes. You move the ctrl stick and hit the a button.

about the cut-scenes i dont think they were that big of a step up from secret rings. they are still animated in the same boring way. If they where animated like the intro, just in lower resolution then the game would be better because of it

They are most definitely a step up from Rings' cutscenes, there is no debating this.

Watch it on HellfirePlaythroughs for comparison if need be, both Black Knight and Rings are up on there.

Secondly, they're designed like that to mimic storybook pages. Animated cutscenes would've been completely missing the point.

I like that Shadow and Knuckles play the knights they do because, if you play Rivals 2, you see a sort of tense relationship between them which carries over to Lacelot and Gawain who never really got along.

I also think it would have been amusing if this game had, in some off handed way maybe, covered the affair between Lacelot and Guinevere.

The only voice acting from 4kids I absolutely hate are Team Chaotix. I wonder why 4kids turned up the shit dial. The Sonic Heroes voices were great in my opinion.

This game is one of the most enjoyable games to play in a while. A couple of things I noticed that seemed strange was that Merlina looked like an elf with those ears, and I don't think Merlin was an elf. Another strange thing was that there wasn't really a chaos emerald alternative in this game like Secret Rings with the World Rings, unless you consider the sacred swords as the alternatives..

Nothing really gameplay wise. In ancient times guantlets were use to protect your hands from attacks (they also softened the vibration of the sword if it struck something hard) so I guess Merlina wanted him to be prepared (why didn't give him any more armour than one gaunlet is another matter).

I've heard some people say that the cast of character's in this game, not including the multiplayer ones, are the best characters to just have a game with. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow and Blaze. Just put Eggman in there, and that's the characters you need. That's just my opinion though.

BTW in the manual of one of 2D games it actually says he like chillidogs, I don't know if that vcame before or after aosth, though this is the first time he's seen with them, this isn't the first refernce to chillidogs in the games.

3:48- I still preffer Junichi, Jason sounds fine in this cutscene but in other parts of the game he just seems to have the wrong tone of voice for the situation.

I like this game too, gameplay is aweful, but I like the storyline and the dialogue, and It has the best representation of Sonic in ages, they obvioulsy made an effort in bringing his character back.

I havn't played it all though.

I think Sonic refrences Secret Rings several times in this game. First when he says, "The rules seem a little different this time around...", when he meets the smithy, "Tails, nah can't be.." I think. With Lancelot he says something like some things never change, and of course with Gawain Sonic says he acts like a certain 'knucklehead' he knows.

Wow, you guys really liked Jason Griffith in this. I'm very surprised. The lines like "Wow, it'll be like halloween all year round!" and "So, how do you guys roll around here? Lay it on me, sister!" just make me cringe. Although maybe that's bad scriptwriting/localization more than voice acting.

Either way -- IMO nothing will beat Junichi's Japanese Sonic voice. He just has the 'edge' to it as well that Jason Griffith does not have.
