  • Beautiful solo...........wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this band's guitarist plays like Steve Morse!!!!

    /watch?v=KZJKPLo32aE&feature=related

  • I went to see his concert with Deep Purple in BKK over 10 yrs. ago. I saw its live "Fantastic"

  • Steve Morse=Thor..lol bite me ..he rules..again bite me ..to stave off subsequent posters!

  • Gitara plače - srdce plesá!

  • Outstanding... and always will remain that way!

  • He is so macy ! asom ! the bes of te word !

    aguante this man

  • Deep purple chose Steve Morse.. They love it. Get over it.

  • I agree, everyone has their own style. Morsey is very very very good (world wide).

A great repacement for Blackmore. Move on people, Blackmores very good, Morse is a fantastic guitarist.

I'de like to see some of the knockers play as good.

Oh, i dont think Morse has gotten out of 1st gear, just a warm up. ;))

  • i was on attila-soda in the water cup and some fag that liked this guy said its messing up rock, grindcore and deathcore arent rock just so you all know. theres deathcore/grindcore/metalcore/deathmetal/rock/heavy metal and many many many many more. im not saying i hate this but ebmusicman when ppl dont like songs by the music i like (deathcore) noone says they should all die. unless they act retarded saying this is fake music. then we do. but we dont otherwise.

  • go die the people who disliked!

  • When Steve shines, he Really Shines. He is truly a master of the guitar in so many ways. Deep Purple has been a greater band with Steve; in the way that one is guarenteed a great concert every time; not a sometimes half assed performance

from Blackmore although when Ritchie was in the pocket, the band was on fire.

  • Como assim? Tem gente que não gosta???É tudo de bom!!!

  • Como assim? Tem gente que não gosta!!!

  • Steve Morse is not only one of the greatist guitar players ever, thats just not my openion but was voted best guiratist by Beat Magazine. He is also a great person and has a brain as well. He flys a Gulfstream jet out of Peachtree Dekalb airport in Atlanta, a privite pilot. The Dixie Dregs flat out jam. Granted he is not Blackmore, he is Steve Morse, take note, because he is a guitar players, guitar player.

  • OH MY GOSH THIS MAN IS BRILLANT HE RE LIT MY MUSICAL SPARK :)

  • From 7.32 is ridiculously heavy once the band got into it.

All started from this nice guitar solo from Steve. , and some strange sounds he played at the start. Seen this live and it rocks.

l got into band in 1970 when 12, and i still like the band now.

Steves ok, he had big shoes to fill and does it well id say.

  • This incidental noodling is tiring. He plays Amazing Grace in the middle of what can only be called his collection of sounds. He seems to have stopped caring about his tone. There are no moments of real fire. It is odd. The band obviously likes and supports him but who knows who is going on. He probably signed some iron contract that says he can work with no one else. He seems to be following and working the same old, not discovering. I lay a dollar he is in a confined contract.

  • This is not Morse's band. He is filling in. Basically he is a worker and delivering the work. His own band from the Universiry of Miami music school is the Dixie Dregs. If you want to see Morse in his pure form, see the early Dixie Dregs. Their music really set people on their ear, but it was a different music. At heart, Morse is bluegrass and classical. He is not really a rock player, he is too light hearted. He is not especially urban. He is more like Montaigne than Balzac. A lot more.

  • Morse is an awesome guitarist, but I so wish Blackmore was still with purple, he really brought something to the band, both with his rough tones and legendary reputation.

Then again, he was a pain in the arse...

  • The most flexible, most soulful an most friendly Guitarplayer ever.

  • @SteveGoodness agree with you!!!!especially with last part...he's so damn friendly and nice!couldnt believe my eyes when i met him!

  • sure is a lot of guitar gods out there.

  • His sound turns me on. From heavy leads to fantastic sounds coming from impossible technique and feeling. Thank you Mr.Morse!

  • goooood real good 60-80 the best rock times !

  • Shocking! Just amazing no word to describe it! I heard it live in Rome it maked me hold my breath

  • This is the best solo i have ever heard. In i have heard alot. :)

  • @ salchez68: wtf? are we talking about god or steve morse? but doesn't matter, for me, he is god :D

  • WOWW!!!!!!!!!! Bloody amazing!!!!

  • who is beter than him? :O he is amazing! he always plays the right notes! he is a god!

  • he's the god!!!!!!!!

  • @marx600 God is God n Ur not.

  • Note for note no one is in Steve's league.....do yourself a favor and discover The Dixie Dregs : )

  • This guy is amazing, really amazing, on the other hand, I also Ritchie Blackmore I must confess that I love.

  • This guy is amazing!

  • Thaks for the upload, i've been looking for this solo long time. Once i watched this concert but unfortunately i forgot the place and the date of the concert, if sby could tell me i'll be very grateful :)

  • This solo was off the DVD "Total Abandon" recorded in melbourne australia 1999.

  • You're right! Thank you very much!!! <3 :)

  • Fantastic solo. I saw him playing with Deep Purple in Spain last summer, and we were blown away by the whole performance (and i only went because i got free tickets, i knew nothing of Deep purple before then, only the name) - and the rest of the band were also superb - Steve - your a great great Guitarist, and in my book, you stand shoulder to shoulder with my other great guitar idols Slash and Dave Gilmour.

  • What the ? Slash is more blues #4 notes and David Gilmour Is FEEL CITY man in that same vein, STEVE MORSE picks four notes per string, can do street funk country rock like no tomorrow and i take nothing from the others ewither but COMPLETELY DIFFEANT sorry! DUde

  • Why is it some people seem to be on here just to argue and insult people? For what it's worth, Steve Morse is a damn fine guitar player and does a great job with Purple. Blackmore went years ago - get over it, yes it'll never be the same fair enough but it's still good. Now enjoy the music, oh and by the way I'm a trained classical singer and rock singer and a bass player of 20 years so I do have knowledge ok. Will post something on here soon. Peace all.

  • I look forward to seeing what you can play man. Why can't people just appreciate an amazing guitar player like Steve Morse?

  • @bassvoxguy Steve Morse is a lot more than a fine guitar. He is a part of Americana and the Dixie Dregs were the only band of their kind, a bluegrass classical rock fusion band. It was truly exciting to hear them, it was real art, different and new and exciting. Morse is on the short list of original inventive guitar players, a rather short list from the US. The first three or four Dixie Dregs records are Morse's real contribution to the arts.

  • Steve Morse t'es génial !! Longue vie à DEEP PURPLE !!!!!!!

  • "blindmellonchittlen" your disgusting & a joke........

  • and wonder why i have no videos on my page?? huh? i play gig and like most musicians we don't have time or don't have recording video equipment on hand or really care about recording... enough with you and get some help because clearly you someone no one wants to be around and you social skills in speaking to people are very poor, be more respectful and you don't have to be so vulgar....

  • excuse me but watch your mouth kid, your the one that needs to really get a life, from your post you seem like a pervert! disgusting! learn to think before you speak..... but you can say what ever you want over the internet because no one knows you, but not in the real world where you would be scared of people think of you.......

  • im not going to bother talking to you since you have mental issues i suggest you address to a therapist, you proved your self as an arrogant lowlife and you should not talk any further, i don't have to prove a thing to you since i am a guitarist a hard working one playing with other musicians daily and working on music, and you bet i don't play guitar? im a ernie ball forum member and i do play guitar and 80% of my life forms around playing music and listening.

  • I FUCKIN' LOVE THE END! So orgasmic, almost equal to Echoes from Pick Floyd at 14 mins to 18 mins part! Boy I love that in Echoes!!

  • You are soo right:) Meddle Echoes:D

  • "Deuterijum" enough, your the one with a sensless life........ steve morse was important to music & how i started listening to music and becoming a musician.

  • This was a great track, the kind of stuff they did as an extra long intro. This was the intro to Smoke on the water

  • its like newer dp.Morse and Airley

  • but this is beautiful, I mean WHOA!

  • beautiful...

  • genial

  • nothing ... absolutely nothing about this solo did anything for me .. musically.

.... and please quit arguing, everyone has their opinion.. some would say Steve is a good guitarist. Others are used to guys like di meola, malmsteen, petrucci etc.. completely different league than this guy... but he's alright in my opinion... definitely did some things for music. .. and im out

  • Was there ,sounds like Total Abandon tour Melbourne 99.. That Steve Morse guitar solo rocked. He has this unique style of crystal clear guitar work.

And when the band gradley came into song, to me sounded remunisent of the classic In Rock album..

  • yup it is that tour i have this song on my iPod its so amazing just how talented this group plays together

  • ummmm.... what are you talking about?

  • ummmm.... what are you talking about?[2]

    or... WHATTHAFUCKAREYOUTALKINGABOUT??????

  • 1:45, I just wanted to cry.

  • Ha jól emlékszem, ez a kép a 2007es budapesti koncerten készült. De nem biztos, mindenesetre az első sorban álltam..

  • best////

  • The best solo ever. It feels like flying. Try the song after a couple of beers. Great guitarist. Absolutely amazing!

  • After seeing Steve play live with DP 4 times now, I still think Steve is easily the greatest guitarist ever. He's so versatile that he can play practically anything and out-shred almost anyone- but shredding isn't what he does best. Instead, he plays and creates MUSIC, not just an endless series of notes played at extremely high speed. He's got feeling and grace and style and a completely unique sound. No one on earth sounds like Steve Morse, which is one reason why he's the greatest ever.

  • So u want to lick his balls???

  • so youre a hater, and want to suck on some cock?

just because you cant play anything, doesnt mean you need to shit on other peoples dreams.

    newfrontiers has a point.

and its a valid one, at that.

and by you replying with that absurd comment, you just show that youve got no life, no talent, and no purpose on this earth.

  • get a life,bitch!

  • What? You want to tell me that to be the best you must "have every style"? I don't think so. And what I've heard from this video is very technical improvisation(may be)fullfiled with volume effects. But Blackmore's phrases are somehow more clear and .... I don't know. I just prefer Ritchie's style.

  • Comment removed

  • @guitarman2233 Remeber that RITCHIE comes from classical background and training! And he ALWAYS included elements of it with Deep Purple,as well as some blues jazz and other! Anyway, respect to Steve, even thou, Deep Purple Are not the same without Ritchie....Never mind! Things were meant to go that way!!!!

  • I gotta go practice!

  • unless you can find someone that has every style you can think of in there playing with votes "best overall guitarist 5 time in a row, you can just keep dreaming.

  • hahahaha Blackmore is GOD and Morse is good ???

    hahahahahahahahahahahaha

    Are you crazy ??

  • Keep dreaming buddy.

  • blackmore was "ONE" of har rocks gods, but guitar god would not fit at all, steve morse "is" a guitar god, steve has every style built into his playing.

  • So amazing!
