Better start believing it. The G8 GXP is MUCH faster than any normal 5 series--the M5 excluded--and I don't think that's unfair given the M's HUGE price difference (more than twice as much). The normal G8 GT will actually go head to head with the 550i (handling and acceleration). Can't say about the new Solstice yet.
