I think you need to do more research other than a front wheel and handlebars. What is with you yanks?! Also, its not a puppy, its a motorcycle. Puppies are young dogs, less than a year old!
Very clean and smooth. My dad bought a 1985 700 and drove it for years. Never had a problem with it. Anyone who truly loves bikes knows that KAWI makes good stuff.
what do you guys think is best for a starter bike ninja250r vulcan 900custom or Suzuki m109
i was originally thinking of getting the 250 but my uncle who has some monster harley cruiser sud-jests that i get a biger bike, and he told me because a bigger bike is stabler (wont wobble as much) and on a windy day you wont go all over the place
@airplane82 I believe that you will be a happy man!... The baffles come out and can be put back in... Too loud for me when out!... Good for Rolling Thunder rides...but not for commuting... But again, you will be a very happy man with these pipes on this bike!!!...
@Beyond99 well i appreciate that! lol thats good to know, i like noisy pipes, and def cannot wait to have them put on! it will turn heads forsure. so with these pipes on, do u notice any small gains in power?
@Beyond99 ya these pipes def sound better each time i get on the bike! lol gave me a headache the first day, but now im used to them, and have recieved many compliments on he bike/pipes, def a nice bike that we ride eh? and do they get any louder once broken in more??
@hajee1990 .....the guy starting the bike rides the other bike in this vid... yeah! It is a yamaha...I wear a leather vest.... nice to have some startup assistance when doin walk arounds... we will both be wearing harley jackets soon...
@beefnliver yes there is... just like Beethoven, Brahms, and Bach...they are all classical but noticibly different... like Rice Crispies... there's snap, crackle and pop... It comes down to a matter of preference... I like them all... so the choice I made I can live with... at least for now...
removing baffles is extremely not needed in my opinion, I mean fuck I ride a honda rebel 250 with jardine slash cut pipes and that thing's loud enough as it is, theres a fine line between a beautiful v twin purr and retarded faggy "look at me I'm loud" pipes I mean fuck south park had it partially right, people with extremely loud exhausts are just desperate for attention, people who want the best sound out of their engine and to be heard when in cars blind spots have my respect.
Of course but the wankers rolling down the highway on their bikes that I can hear in my bedroom 5 blocks away are just fucking annoying I mean come on dude don't get me wrong, loud pipes DO save lives but theres a very obvious limit to whats loud and noticeable and to what's just plain retarded and overkill. That being said, this is just one guy's opinion.
@guitarfetish342 I guess there is truly a thin line between allowable decibles... To some it could be noise,,, and to others if it is snappin and poppin like it should... then it's music... remembering that the sounds of the drag strip are not conducive to sleep!...
yeah i was 19 when i got my 2007 kawasaki vn 900 classic! but i want the drag handle bars on it so i order some and when i get back from iraq i got some work to do on it still shopping around for exhaust and i think i just found em! thanks for the video bro!
i just bought these. have not even installed it yet. but from the sounds of your bike with the stock air cleaner sounds pretty loud already.... ride safe dude
i want to hook up my ride with the exact pipes you have..... did you also but "the chip" they recoment, or did you just put on the exhaust only (i'm just wondering if the chip is manditory) and i don't want to spend the extra money. LOL....thanks, d.
That kawi tank badge on the side peals right off. Nothing wrong with it being a kawi ...that badge looks cheap compared to the rest of the bike. They are GREAT bikes.
Getting my 09 Vulcan 900 Custom a week from Sunday. Fellow is also fitting the Vance and HInes Staggered Slash-Cuts before he brings it out. Nice guy, he is. Can't wait to ride. My first bike since riding when I was an early teen (aside from the 250 I rode at the safety course).
Good clip ... I am putting the same pipes on my black Custom. Did you have to put one of those fuel processors ( eg Fuelpak is one brand ) on it after fitting the after market pipes ? or does it run ok with out one. Cheers
My friend has a 07 or 08 that is reddish. I believe it is a classic because the fenders are much bigger. He let me ride around my church's parking lot (gravel) and it was nice. I felt the heaviness of it, but the only other bike I had ridden was a 125cc eliminator at the riding school. I don't have my own bike yet, but plan on getting something around a 5-600cc bike to begin with. If I can afford it, I am getting a Vstrom 650. I am getting my full license on Nov. 13th. (permit now)
I would say to go with what works for you...I started off with a 1986 Kawasaki 454 LTD...and now have a 900... The 900 is an intermediate bike that serves my riding purposes well right now!... I may move up to a dream bike when my ship comes in... (like a Road King or Vulcan Nomad... But for now, I'm happy with what I have...
I have made some upgrades that I have not posted... like hardbags and lightbar and wind deflector and vance and hines and license plate flagholders... But I would take her just the same butt naked....
Harley Davidson is a fucking poser motorcycle. Most people just buy them because they see commercials all the fucking time or there dad raised them to think harleys are worth a shit. I gotta hand it to the marketing salesmen for harley....they can sell those pieces of shit to people for that price!!!! CRAZY!!!! Anyways if you buy a harley make sure you buy alot of floor dry. and dont plan on riding it anywhere it is hot.
I believe it will go about 110mph, but it sounds strained at about 85...really needs a sixth gear. Gonna see about the ScootWorks overdrive pulleys for mine...trying to narrow down a choice of pipes...so far V&H (Staggereds) and Cobra (HP 2 into 1)are in the lead
Very cool ride Beyond99, very cool. I'm trading in my Sportster next month for a jet black VN900 Classic. Fits like a glove! Belt drive, Fuel injection, 5.3 gallon fuel tank, Gas guage, Totally laid back and comfortable. Nuff said. Peace to you.
Last year I bought new 2007 Vulcan 900 Classic and I LOVE IT !!! In my opinion is perfect as the first bike for me...I wish there is more chrome stuff on the market to customized my Kawi...I put some on all ready, but I want to dress up some more. It is fun to ride and be compared to HD in some times.
Initial start up engine speed on the E.F.I, it drops down to a nice idle speed,
been told by my local kawasaki dealer that not only do the customs have good mileage, they can easily "wind the speedo off" not bad for your first bike hey? not that that should be the reason you buy a bike ;-)
hey i will send a pic..but have the same pipes on my bike(same bike) but i put a power commander and a thunder manufacturing kit on it and it rips..check it out...
How is this thing on the fwy. cruising at 70+mph? Does it have a tall enough 5th gear to where it doesn't feel like it needs a 6th gear? Again this is a sweet looking ride.
She does great on the highway considering she's hauling a 250 pound load... And let's face it, gears could go to infinity... cause we never seem to get enough of the things we love...But again she's a great riding intermediate bike... My upgrade will be a Road King Classic...But I will keep the Vulcan and it's smooth ride...

I also heard somewhere that there will be more liquid cooled Harleys in the future...
