I'm happy I got the VTEC engine, I'm just trying to stay out of trouble with it, lol. I've gotten up to 110, but again, I'm not looking to go too fast, I've learned my lesson. It runs great. I'm looking to adding some stuff to it in the future.

@Abercrombermonkey; yes your right mine is a manual Prelude. I prefer stick for sporty cars. Ya I heard the same, good thing I did not get the automatic. The manual however is pretty strong. A buddy of mine went, though to a miss shift, in around 10-15k RPM and the gearbox was fine.

@DiscoCheese500Badger; really? Preludes are one of the most reliable coupés of hes time. I own a 5th and got no engine problems at all, only did one maintainance a year and its well over 100k miles. And it drives lovely.. cheap too xD

@lordotgame is yours manual? Their engine is reliable, its been the same vtec motor used in 1993-2001 preludes! Just the last generations automatic blows. Honda used the prelude as a test car for their "SS" transmission. and it failed and a whole second slower in the 1/4 mile!

@Abercrombemonkey I've always been afraid of mis-shifting and really messing up the transmission and/or engine. That's why I've always driven automatic. Maybe I'll be brave and attempt to drive a manual one day. My Prelude is 4th gen and it's an automatic. I haven't really had any problems with it other than having to replace my MAP sensor and I'm about to replace the timing belt but that's it.
