  • This is great. My Dad played the guitar with a style very much like Django's, which is one of the reasons I love to hear this. This is really hot and a lot of fun. It makes me laugh. Haha!!! So see, this is really good, happy music, which is the way the best music in the world ever could be, right?!!

    Wow.

  • Is that Djangos brother on the left playing rhythm guitar?

  • "one more steph, one more..... oohhh yeaaa"

  • It took me a week to recognize where I'd heard this - the Harlem Globetrotters.

  • Haha, some of the closeups have been dubbed in...Grappelli's hand isn't going with what he's playing! :D

  • @fiddlestixgirl24 everything is dubbed. the original video is for the song J`attendrai swing.

  • @fiftieslover Oh, okay! That makes more sense now. Thanks! :)

  • WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Stephen Grappelli on violin.

  • The audio is Sweet Georgia Brown, but the Video is from J'attendrai! ^-^

  • @tijn588 just dream on it :D

  • I for one, appreciate the effort you went through in making this video. So it's not the song, it still gives good footage of him playing and really, that's the main thing. So, thank you for putting this together.

  • That's the only available good footage of Django. Nice work.

  • BTW They've interjected a close up that is not from this session. The suit Rheinhardt wearing in it isn't even close.

    Django: WOW!

  • why the fuck do the same scenes keep playing over and over again, especially Django's funny ass face at 1:49, hes beast though

  • Yep. One of my favorites on You Tube.

  • Go, Django, go!!

  • der erfinder "unserer musik" mit drei fingern vollbracht was heut manch einer nicht mit 2 händen schafft. respekt romea

  • I love it. Great music.

  • I watch this stuff and I think- there has to be a god somewhere that can be thanked for giving us these wonderful talents that bring such great joy. Django developed his left hand technique to compensate for the fingers that were burned in a fire. is that guts or what?

  • I did see the fiddle guy, Grappelli, back in the 1980s. He had Joe Pass on guitar that night. He knew a lot of those Django moves.

  • Love both the audio and the video. Beautiful piece of music done so well by the masters. What a treat it would have been to hear them in person!

  • I noticed the guitar only had 5 strings also...hmmmm

  • Django had some Gyspy magic working. He could change clothes between notes. Let's see Clapton do that!

  • @Zoomlens what a great comment

  • @Zoomlens ... and he could put a mic with a light on it in front of him and trim his mustache after he scratched up his Maccaferi!

  • The music doesn't fit the video, and the close-ups don't fit the wide shots -- Django is wearing a tux in one and a pinstripe suit in the other. Who put together this hodgepodge?

  • @RevEdmund Nevertheless, the music is great and it's always a thrill to watch Django's special technique with his left hand.

  • @RevEdmund

Is it valid critiize the music when you are putting your attention in the artists outfit? Who gives a shit about apparel if you have the great chance to watch and listen to these monster, thanks to the web!!!

  • @Josemanuelcano1 he didnt critisize the music O.o

  • the picture does not fit the song!

  • One of the FHCQ's best numbers. So relaxed! Excellent solos make this track a treat.

  • what about the whisleing

  • @thekillers19adam the whistling - like the Harlem Globetrotters theme? Gold... it's all gold!
