A realistic boss understands that certain staff will have resentments against him, maybe for personal reasons, maybe just cause they are jealous of his position or maybe they don't like his management style. It comes with the fucking territory. Finding a staff member going off about him is natural, an experienced boss would expect at least one employee to make a fuck of themselves at a staff do with alcohol. one of the reasons they say its tough at the top.
