kg441 is my HERO. Furthermore, he's the reason I finally signed up for a youtube account of my own. Many thanks for these priceless Stones rarities - touche'!
is this a soundboard recording or from an unreleased video concert recording? sounds tight though mick's voice is terrible throughout the entire Tattoo You tour.
@ELVISPist I will check out the Chuck Miller version, thanks! Glad you can appreciate the Stones doing this in a new way after doing it in the 60's - I like it too!
Utter tripe. This song is meant to have a tight boogie feel to it.Playing it at 100mph loses that great feel. They should listen to their own 1965 version. If only they retired in 1974
@davidglow3 ...this version "rocks", that's why it's unique. I applaud any act that's ready to shake things up on stage and try out different arrangements. If you like "Down The Road..." with a "boogie woogie" flavor, then this version is not for you.
@davidglow3 How right you are. Complete shite. They really had lost it by this time. If you listen to Bye Bye Johnny from the New York gig of '72, it sounds like a different band. Which it is I suppose without Taylor. Personally, I think they should have packed up straight after the American tour of 1972.
man this is so awesome!!! i was trying to upload these so i could be the first one to do so but it didnt work lol! awesome that i wasnt the only one trying to do so!

@davidglow3 I agree, the Stones never got better than they were in 1965. The 1965 version swung, the guitar sound sucks on this.
