You know that the whole cast (except protagonist) performed under hypnosis? Explains the unreal behaviour and dialogue... Fucked up in a pretty interesting way.
The ending is amazing, unforgettable. "Heart of Glass" can be a difficult film at times, but it presents the concept of apocalypse brilliantly. The seer, Hias (played by Josef Bierbichler) is one of Cinema's most absorbing characters, I feel. His prophecies are disquieting yet very beautiful at times, too. The music by Popol Vuh is simply mesmerizing - one of the greatest scores ever, I feel. Visually, the film is uncanny. Herzog gave us a great parable here.
yes, isn't that a great little touch? Have you heard Herzog's comments in the DVD extras? I found it very interesting hearing him talk about what was involved making these scenes.
did u notice the girl in the tavern, in front of the camera.. and suddenly a hand appears, points a finger on the top of her head and make her turn around. i dont know if its made on purpuse or not, very funny though!!

If I had to choose one film to watch before I die it would be Heart of Glass.

One of the greatest films ever created. Stop watching here and get the DVD at least, if you can't see this on film.
