  • how do you switch the colours so quickly? i never saw you use the color picker?

  • Really cool! inspired my first landscape!!!

  • wow thanks this helps alot, with all those custom brushes and all, i guess its obvious i need to learn how to make brushes before i go do anything else

  • @krazydavidvids custom brushes are NOT too important but are fun to use to generate quick textures or repeating patterns/shapes. Always/sometimes lead to happy accidents too.

Making brushes in Photoshop is quite easy ther are lots of tutorials online for that.

I do download some (tons) of my brushes though ; P but don't rely on them, the Photoshop Default and some squashed flat brushes are all you need to get started, worry about custom brushes later.

  • Amazing job, like the music too :)

  • you have a paranormal ability my friend

  • do you know the gase frokid?

  • Could you tell me how you did the turquoise window rows?

I mean technically? I'm still drawing windows in skyscrapers and stuff all by hand and it's always a pain in the ass, but you seem to have a neat little trick to align them, but I couldn't really find out how you did that...

Besides that: Great work, I hope I can be half as good in a few years. :)

  • @fuxmedia Okay, I guess it's a mixture of a rectangular brush, varying pen pressure and holding the shift-key down....

    :)

  • @fuxmedia hey, for the window row take any shape, preferably paint one window or square/rectangle>Go to Brush Settings and adjust the spacing until they space out with your intended spacing.

  • i que es esto

  • ....and the music is awesome too! :D

  • Coolness. My channel has lots of Digital Painting tutorials, but mostly of people and comic work.

  • what program are you using :D

  • What program do you use???

  • @dimdiocom I use Adobe Photoshop CS3 right now, and I use Camtasia to record

  • @NOrthernLight13 I really cant believe you can make concept art with Photoshop!

    By the way nice work.

  • ARE YOU A WIZARD!?

  • @WatchOutBR haha.... i love this comment, CAPS FTW! and yes sometimes i feel magical.

  • Nicely done dude, awesome work considerin it took 15 mins!

I still found that forground bit abit difficult to read though, but the mood and lighting are great!

I look forward to seeing more of your vids ;)

  • @willpheonix thanks for the comments and critique man. When I re-watch this video I kinda wish i stuck with the individual blue lights in the left foreground 06:00, might have helped to make some sense of the stuff that closest to the camera.

Hope to do some more videos when I get some time.

    Peace,

    NOrthernLight

  • anyway I can download your brushes?

  • nice work dude! can you do me a fav I would love to see you take a trasparant texture from a photo and paint it over some of the things, i.e rust texture over the metal or similar.

I do that with my paintings to add a little realism but wonder if you have a better method?

check my stuff out - louiethomas.co.uk
