Killzone 3 2D vs 3D Comparison HD

I've tried playing it in 3D at a Sony store at my local mall and my eyes hurt really bad. Not only that, but edges are VERY pixelated. Not worth a purchase.

@salogeo it does, 3d has to send the same image quality to both your eyes and the ps3 wouldn't run a resolution of 720X 2 with the same fps. so they lower the resolution for each eye. also to keep performance acceptable multiple effects have been toned down, and some elements plants and such have been removed. it's all bout performance ;p

@salogeo yea no prob man, it's kinda logical once you read it don't you think? :), but yea 2D is better for detail. 3d can still be awesome though, gives games depth so you can judge distance better and it really can look awesome. gt5, kz3, uncharted 3 all do it really well

Their eyelashes seem to really p*ss me off in 3d mode for some reason they stick out like sore thumbs...the quality is probably 7/10 for 3d and beats xbox 3d which to me just looks like pop up books.... But I will admit that when I play skyrim on PC in 3d that is killer... Playing killzone 3 in 3d ATM and is still great though.

playing this game in 3D is an experience on its own. and if u haven't played it in 3D you should not comment negatively.. its absolutely unbelievable in 3D.. To have a 4 frame drop from 3d to 2d is oblivious and is not recognizable by the human eye. what visible thou however is the 3D perspective which is unbelievable.. Try 3D on the PS3 then comment

@alphaotakux i have no problem with 30 fps as long as its constant but thats the prob all games have frame drops but on 50 or 60 fps it hardly matters like mag in domination once bunkers start blowing and lots of bombs dropping the fps takes a complete SHIT

you need to be watching it with your naked eye + the 3D glasses to actually see the 3D. Since if you record a 3D gameplay using a 2D (not 3D camera) then it would look the same as the 2D. Even if you have a revolutionary 3D camera it will still show as 2D if its uploaded in youtube since your computer screen isn't 3D and youtube is to skint to waste there fortune enabling 3D on their non 3D website. Teehee

@ejbirt thats not the point, the point is the frame rate, detail and resolution, if you had noticed the 3D version had a lower resi, less detail, and the FPS were 26 rather then the normal 30..

@kingplutoxiao1 It's been proven that the naked eye can view things at around 500 frames per second. You can DEFINITELY see the difference between 30fps and 60fps. Try playing Rage.
