@maedaisabela no its better to do this i had on done recently my dad was like we going to d dentist and i was like ok and we went three times and i didnt know i was doing the root canal it was so painless and wen we finished d third time he told me and i was like dat was nothing i thought it was going to be painfull it felt more like a check up
I have to have one pretty soon. I brush every few hours or so nowadays to prevent having to do more of this. Makes me wish I cared more about my teeth when I was younger. You know how young people are, they always think that they are indestructible. Oh well, what can I say? It was a good lesson learned. Take care of what you have for you never know when it will be gone. Thank you for the information.
i had a root canal treatment done 4 days ago, during the procedure the dentist said that one of the canals started bleeding so heavily that he had to put in an emergency filling.. now i have to come back in 2 weeks :'( oh, and today about 4 hours ago i had to have a root tip extraction.. fck my teeth :(
@Sk8terGurl951 I had it done a week ago, it took around 3 hours for me, but that was because it was on My molar Tooth, which takes longer. It doesn't hurt at the time, because of the anesthetic, the hardest part is keeping your mouth open for it is the most painful part :D. After the operation, My Tooth ached and had a slight throbbing pain for about 3 days, nothing that can't be treated with some painkillers if it gets too bad.
Would the crown be the same or something similar as shown in the animation? I was thinking about going for this treatment instead of extracting my tooth. And I don't want to have a crown too "unglam".

ok that looks all sweet & that but i don't have the cash for all that... if i get the tooth pulled (its a back molar) will it remove most of the infection aswel...
Just got this done today, the procedure itself didn't hurt, but when your jaw is open for a long period of time it tends to be painful when you finally shut it.
i wish my dentist did something like this when i had my root canals on my 4 top front teeth, but no he messed up and a half a year later (now) i am 13 and i need flippers/fake teeth because they werent done right and i had to have them pulled.
I found it to be an excellent work. I have seen many dental videos , but it is one of the most complete ones.
I think that, this type of patient-education related videos are really very helpful, especially in the cases of dental treatment as most of the people do not have a clear conception about dentistry and get anxious without any reason.
They should watch it.
This treatment procedure will be helpful for many dentists too.
@nefertiti1983 lol, I had mine root canal in late november....the crown in first week of jan 2011...overall I didn't feel any pain during the procedure, even though I was scared before the procedure :P

I got a question:
Would the crown be the same or something similar as shown in the animation? I was thinking about going for this treatment instead of extracting my tooth. And I don't want to have a crown too "unglam".
