Thanks to liberal policy the world economy is crashing. We must do two things to stop the meltdown NOW!!! Firstly, we need to raise all payroll taxes 10% for one year. The bottom 50% already pays more than their fair share. They're pay 3% of the total taxes, while they only have 2.5% of the wealth. You can't look at the income tax rates and think that's indicative of how much people pay. It is only one of the many, many taxes we pay, all of which benefit the rich far more.

This is sociopathy. The government is supposed to step in and prevent such things from happening, allowing security and transparency. Thanks to liberal policy the world economy is crashing. We must do two things to stop the meltdown NOW!!! Firstly, we need to raise all payroll taxes 10% for one year. We also need to stop (right now) wasteful handout programs like medicare, social security, unemployment,, etc. and lower the minimum wage to $2/hr so we can compete with China. I will work with Cantor, Ryan and my other republican colleagues and take immediate action on these proposals. God bless the GOP!

They are two story houses or small apartments. Most of those houses only have a couple of cars, and TVs. Their houses aren't big by any means. So if you just use your brain you will know that it is unreasonable to think that they can afford a lot of cars, and other expensive stuff.

As income levels increase, consumption[drives demand] falls as a % of income. The gov can tax some and spend it all which increases GDP.
Economies will produce what is demanded. Some of the things the ultra-rich buy are wasteful [yachts]. Is it better to have an economy which can build roads or yachts?

Taxation is NOT theft. The U.S. has Always had taxes. Income taxes are perfectly legal under the 16th amendment.
Before anyone 'earns' a dime within this society, they know they will have to pay taxes.
Their earning US government dollars inside US territory with all the benefits of educated citizens, security, stability, and infrastructure isn't free; It requires the paying of taxes.
Ultimately wealthier entities use those resources more, and have greater ability to pay.

Taking the $135 from the poor one leaves $765 for rent or no rent, car or no car. medicine or no medicine, school or no school.
What ruinous life wrecking impact will it have on the one making $1,000,000? they'll still have $840,000/mn left after paying taxes & spending $10,000/mn

I know many people who are definitely not on the top 50% who pay income tax. Although, let me enlighten you on something. Income Tax is an illegal form of taxation as it is not Direct/Indirect, thus in conflict with the 14th Amendment, which equates to it being illegal in all forms. Thank you for the response.

Non-millionairs in the top 50% are less important because their tax contributions (or lack of) are lower. Do you think the republicans were targeting the tiny group of the rich who didn't pay IT ? Or were the republicans targeting the large group of the approximate bottom 50% of income earners who did not pay IT? Also, IT are legal. Please see the 16th amendment.
