It's quite sad, really... I took a lot of videos, and was there for most of the large fire. It leaves a pit in my stomach to watch it again.

There is a lot of speculation, and no real determination yet... however, the general consensus is that a construction worker that was welding in the clock tower accidentally caught the building on fire, and he didn't have a fire extinguisher. Ironic, huh? They were doing restoration on the building, and that is what caused the fire...

i saw construction workers with fire extinguishers. at the top of the scaffolding, at 4:43, i saw no firetrucks.

Answer why there was smoke coming out at 4:15, but the fire trucks show up, with one person or 2 at 4:45.

I have no idea, my friend... I'm glad that someone had a fire extinguisher! But alas, it didn't appear to be effective. Unfortunately, there was a total breakdown with emergency response for some reason. I think I saw on the news that the county/town acknowledges this and is investigating.... which from officials = we don't want to tell you why :-(
