@bumtaksi Champ, nothing to wory abt by looking at this guy's video. The social club video editor plays the movie at a constant frame rate 30fps and above, no matter how laggy your gameplay is. So jst by watching we cant come up to a point that his system is a good one.

RAM hardly changes FPS at all, just loading times and transition times. CPU is key here, but you need to match a good CPU with a good graphics card or you waste your time.

You should use fraps next time, The rockstar social editor renders the video in realtime, So no matter what system your using it renders 60fps for everyone. Which means we actually have no way to see how good the card plays the game.

@lukasvbm the 9500gt isn't designed to be ur killer graphic card , so it won't play all games on maxium or high, for that get a gtx260 or ati 5770 . But it does play gta iv on high settings @ 1280 x 720 quite well. DiRT 2 i can say maxium settings with no anti aliasing.

All games are programed in a way that does not even use all four cores anyway so you're looking at idle cores while gaming.And that's just a waste. Until i see games that are programmed with multithreading for quad cores i won't believe a game NEEDS a quad to run effectively. Because it doesn't. Single thread programming = idle cores. End of.

@deaconkris you obviously don't know much about the matter, so I shall teach you. A quad core is better for gaming for several reasons.

1. You can leave other shit running in the background, plus caching and loading is sped up due to available cpu time.

2. Running a recent OS (i.E. Win7) will enable unthreaded applications to run on all cores. It reduces the heat by your CPU, making it live longer.

3. Properly threaded apps get > 50% performance boost over a 2-core setup.

Nowadays, all new games using all cores, that's why quad core cpu's as example: AMD Athlon || x4 645 it's better than Quad 8400. Athlon is cheap, has 4 cores, 3.2ghz , and have better performance then Quad 8400 who cost's much more and have shitter performance. And don't compare dual core cpu's with Quad core cpu's in gaming. Dual core's is out of date, and even "super good" gpu doesn't help a lot.
