  • Great ports of a great game. Have both games plus the jamma pcb. Just wish the TG16 and genesis versions looped like the arcade does.

  • @Riotzone77 I remember only playing the arcade version once but I didn't last too long.

  • @starsoldier1 Yeah there is almost no difference between the arcade and these ports. With the dip settings set to easy, the arcade version might even be a little easier than both ports. Fun to the genesis game with always max Firepower GG code though.

  • I was a big super nes fan boy, but for games like this, I would defenetly recommend the genesis or turbo grafx....the processor speed for the snes just wasnt super enough...t o o m u ch sl ow do wn...

  • @nintendoneil I love the Snes too but yeah the slow processor was a problem.

  • I never knew these two were the same! I played Aero Blasters, but not Air Buster. Long time ago. But anyway, yeah, I love games where the walls close in and you gotta move fast. Looks like a gorgeous, classic shooter. Good point on the precision movement problems. Of course, a legendary SHMUPer like you as no problems with that, Starsodlier1!. And The TG16 always kicks Genesis butt when it comes to music. marine Military Madness on Genesis? Yeah. Yuck.

    Great review, man.

  • @cuttock Thanks dude!

  • @starsoldier1 No but really, imagine Military Madness music on Genesis yucky Yamaha chip.

  • I've had both versions. I like the Turbografx version better because the graphics are slighter crisper and brighter.

  • @narox There are a lot of people voting for the Turbo version as well.

  • Turbo Music 16 for the win!

  • @TheSideshowNick Ohya, awesome chip tunes.

  • Turbo version anyday

  • Shooters on the PCE are always better than their counterparts on other systems

  • @ryanc519 Thank God Deep Blue only appeared on the TG16.

  • @starsoldier1 Thank God Atomic Robo Kid had a PCE version~

  • I prefer the Turbo version :)

  • @Gunmetalhed The sega version seems to be missing something.
