I don't know what some of you are complaining about. This is what the Sex Pistols sounded like and what they were supposed to sound like. Sid did fine in this performance. This is raw and real. The way it's supposed to be. Too bad this was their last performance. THE FILTH AND THE FURY is the best documentary on a rock group ever. You can find it in its entirety on here youtube. This version of BODIES is awesome!

First recording I have ever hear where you could actually hear how terrible Sid was on bass. I saw them 20 years later in Seattle, with original bassist Glen Matlock back in the fold. What an improvement! The whole band sounded much better in 1996, actually.

god Sid's playing is just complete awfull, Glen Matlock is one of the greatest punk bass players alive. No wonder they didn't last long after this show. Drums and bass are obviously the foundation to a band, and wowza.... Sid's all over the place.

Yet he remains the most famous and worshiped ''punk'' ever in the history of that genre. . . all for the wrong reasons, which is a damn shame.

Yeah, but, like with Cobain and Nirvana, it made me a bit aprehensive because when I listen to the music, even though I know he didn't play on the record, all I can think of is an interview in 1977 when he said, "I'll probably be dead in 2 years."

It makes me sad, partly because he was so young and because him and Rotten were tight and I pity both of them a lot.

The bass isn't a wildly difficult instrument to play and without Nancy Sid would've learnt to be a better player with time.

@PBANDSNOW It is well documented that Mclaren refused to spend any money on sound equipment for the band. They were using equipment more suited to small pub gigs not 5000 seater auditoriums such as the Winterland. Having said that and considering Sids out of control behaviour at this point, the band got better and better as the concert went on. The finale of No Fun is now part of Rock and Roll legend!
