Forget Bill or Jason or Eric -- from the second I saw Rene he was my favorite!! Every time he was in a scene my eyes just darted to his puppy face and shaggy hair. Sometimes I couldn't even remember what Arlene was saying -- my eyes were fixed on her husband. I'd rewind the DVD and try to listen but I'd just end up looking at Mr. Lenier all over again.

Don't you think this Rene guy (real name Michael Raymond-James) would make a much better Sam Merlotte...he even has those PUPPY EYES! Anyways, love him as Rene, till the very end. Though if he played Sam the Dog, he probably wouldn't be given that bombass Cajun accent, but at least he'll last longer on the show. Gifted actor.
