What a completely captivating performance. I'm guessing that the chaps in the crowd woke up the next morning still in awe. I dig Chapman's style and stage presence. Very laid back yet charismatic.
To all the dumasses who have to compare Schenker vs Chapman blah blah Paul Plays geeetar better than 99.99% of any player alive. Still does today. In one area paul kicks Schenkers ass. Paul has the best rock star hair ever. He looks lIke Cousin IT in the Addams Family.
this song is unbelievable! it can be found on the greatest hits of rock. those 3 cds contain the best rock tunes ever made, in case you did'nt know! thanks mitch
"Paul Chapman is equally effective as Michael Schenker. I think Paul gave new life to the music of UFO when Michael left the band. There should be no comparison between the two guitarists since they both knew how to burn the fretboard !!!..."
Clips like mine garner 2000 to 3000 views since uploading, you've done well with this, the Rockpalast German TV showings are now on DVDs I've read, for both MSG and UFO (This one in 81?) UFO never got proper videos out to the fans and still is dragging it's feel I thought due to legal issues, but Schenker granted the name back to Phil and Co.?
Someone notes that at the end of this song the performance o the bass player it´s so similar like harris does?? see from min 4:56, even the same movements.
kickadonkey, you saw Paul Raymond on rhythm and keys. This is Neil Carter who replaced Raymond in 1980. Obviously "Kipper" has since returned once or twice.
Tonka and Nelly Carter. I dunno, Chapman lacks Schenker's lyrical ability. His playing sounds clumsy when he does Michael's stuff. I like Parker's boiler suit. Joe Elliot used to copy Phil Mogg's chicken arm thing.
Brilliant band should have done much better than they did,saw them in Glasgow in the early eighties,Doctor Doctor is simply a classic all time rock track.
Anyone who thinks Paul Chapman wasnt a good replacement for Michael Schenker really need to listen or relisten to No Place to Run, Wild, Willing and the Innocent and Mechanix. This guy more than admirably filled his shoes.
esta es una de las canciones mas emblematicas que pueden haber del heavy metal............es simplemente algo brillante........................arriba ufo¡¡
they're related to & have history w/ the Scorpions & yes, They are Top Knotch & In some cases it is Only the Top Knotch Rawkers of all time that Know them
Paul Chapman is great guitarist. I wish there were more shows of him doing this , playing guitar his way(and I love the Schenker version), just enuff different to be Pauls own and great in its own way.
What a completely captivating performance. I'm guessing that the chaps in the crowd woke up the next morning still in awe. I dig Chapman's style and stage presence. Very laid back yet charismatic.

Don't treat Chapman as Schenker's replacement - listen to the 1974 BBC in concert version - they're both rocking!

Why is the rhythm guitarist playing right handed? When I saw the current line up with him in it, he was playing a left handed guitar.

Yes, this version of the band was as good as the Schenker/Raymond line-up. I have a tape from Chicago in '81 which just rocks.

This performence is plodding; the tempo is stagnant, no energy, no drive.

I personally lost interest in UFO after Michael Schenker left, though I must admit this rendition of one of their best songs comes off quite well.
