  • How big fish carp u catch!!???Dont thing u catch big one..from a video i see..that boile u make in some other wather ,u cant catch shit...maybe some other wild wather....maybe..but other dont think so....!!!!!!!

  • @smraja1000 I have no idea what your saying..I'll take it that you enjoyed the video and are happy I am catching great fish :) Thanks, I appreciate it!

  • ha ha ha.. from this video that boilies u made is totaly crap..in boilis must go at least..7 spicies of flavour...fish,soya,korn, and others...hemp oils...carp love hemp, and 6 or 10 different additivs..then u can tell that u have good boilie who catch big carp and lot of them,.this is dissaster put this on youtube!

  • @smraja1000 Your right, clearly these don't catch fish..as shown in my other videos. Carp like a lot of things and sometimes you need a complicated approach, sometimes a simple approach. One of the all time best baits for carp is sweet corn...by your logic sweet corn wouldn't work. Sadly, you've been taken in by the hype of all those great bait companies. You keep buying your "7 spices" and other additives. I'll keep catching carp on methods that work. Thanks for watching!

  • Our cup measure is 250ml, is that the right one to use??? I'm thinking that even if it's not, as long as I stay with a 1 to 1 ratio of Soya Flour to Dog Food I should be ok?

  • @Jbay2608 Blegh sorry for the delay..stupid hurricane taking out power/interwebs...

Yes our cup is your 250 ml..but you are also correct, roughly a 1 to 1. I really only measured anything out to give an idea for the video, I tend to go by the "roughly" measurements.

  • I've made about 2kg's of these ready for when I next go fishing. They actually look quite good and I can see them working. Will post my results with them on here. Thank you!

  • @supersamo95 Sweet, best of luck to you. I look forward to hearing about some great fish! ;)

  • How big is the cup sopposed to be

  • @mattorford11 Yeah you guys don't use the cup for cooking ..I think I mentioned it before but it is buried deep in the comments..I believe, if I understand the charts right , our 1 cup is equal to your 240 ml.

  • Thanks Its works good :)

  • @MRblackhead01 Your welcome, glad your having some luck with them!

  • well thx already i'm going to try make them again hope it helps ;)

  • Hello my boilie making did go wel thx to you but they broke when i push my needle in it foor the hair rig hope you know why and help me

  • @brainnator Not entirely sure. It is possible that they dried out too much, I've had that happen before. Perhaps you made the mix too dry before rolling them, then they were crumbly once boiled and dried. Perhaps you need to add a bit more oil..the thing about boilies is trying to get the mix just right can be a bit tricky and require a bit or trial and error

  • can you feed gold fish bolies

  • @bart7478 You can..well if you crumble the boilie up..though it would prolly cloud and dirty your water if done all the time..you'd be better off using regular gold fish flakes considering they are fairly inexpensive. I do crush up some boilies for my goldfish/koi tank when I make a fresh batch though, from time to time

  • Hi

can you feed gold fish boilies because i am thinking of feeding my gold fish them a chopped up one for bait to get them in the net when i clean out my tank

    .Thanks.

  • is this korda's new 'MUNGA' boilie range?

  • @1976carpman Might be..there have been rumors but nothing concrete..we don't want to have to take the video down!

  • I am new to this whole carp fishing thing and was wondering, since the carp are a bottom and surface feeder, do you let the bait sit on the bottom when fishing them?

  • @jtschid0910 There are many ways to chase them at all depths and/or the surface. These boilies are a bottom bait and meant to be fished with a hair rig for best results. As you are just starting out bottom fishing is one of the better ways in my opinion. As you learn more about carp, then stalking them, sight fishing and various surface techniques can be quite fun as well. I personally spend much of the warmer months fishing bottom with spin rods and fishing the surface on a fly rod for them.

  • @BlackstoneCarp I looked up the hair rig and I was wondering, since it looks a lot like how i fish for walleyes (I live in the US) could i just put the boilie directly onto the hook?

  • @jtschid0910 You can use them on the hook. If you do I would suggest rolling smaller boilies or using the dough instead of boiling them. The hair rig was designed to make better hook-ups with a variety of baits based on how the carp feed. I would also suggest giving it a go to see just how it works. It helps avoid foul hooks, throat hooks and spit hooks. I will be doing some more tutorial videos in the upcoming months for the hair rig and bait needs etc, which will hopefully help out.

  • how well does this work. i m new to carp fishing and i don't know if it is my bait or my spot. but i am not catching any.

  • @mississippibushcraft I will say again this is a basic recipe, meant to introduce the Boilie, mainly for use with a hair rig. That said, it is an effective recipe even though it is simple. Spicing these up with a host of flavors can make them even more attractive of course but this basic recipe should catch fish in most waters.

With anything in the wild, I cannot promise anything, but I have had success as have others on this simple bait.

  • @mississippibushcraft - its probaly your rig and tacktics

  • Good recipe. I dont recommend throwing the eggs in a blender. The blender adds air fast and air in the egg mix makes the boilies expand more when cooked, making your finished boilie softer.

  • @JustinSolak Good point and great advice. I typically don't mind a softer bait as I don't need them to hold for extended periods. To be honest though in many of my more recent batches/recipes I tend to hand stir verse using the blender.

  • can you tell me the ingreediants

  • @wednesday1996 If you've taken the time to watch..or read the info the ingredients are already there and explained.

  • can you tell me the ingreedients

  • can you please tell me the ingreedints

  • @wednesday1996 he all ready went over the recipe in the vid

  • Has anybody had any sucess with this recipie in the uk at all? I am considering trying it. Thanks.

  • @Pillnut That I cannot say for sure, I believe one or two posts about fish caught on this one or the 2nd vid were from UK folks...however I don't see why it wouldn't work. The ingredients in many dog foods are very similar to boilies as is..soy flours and various meals like liver/blood/fish...flavors like cheese/liver etc. That is the reason I chose this recipe to share. It is a simple way for folks new to bait making to get into the fun of it without going crazy at the market or bait shop.

  • @Pillnut If you want a more in depth one, check out Screaming Delkims set. He does a great series on the more detailed bait making process...

If you decide to give it a go let me know how ya fare. I am always curious to see how things go on both sides of the pond :)

  • @Pillnut Im off to my local canal(England south east) tomorrow with some boilies that i made up yesterday using this recipie so i shall let you know if i have any success.

Oh and ive got some made using this recipie but instead of dog food ive used brekkies cat food, so i will give both a bash.

  • @uksoundwave Thanks alot mate, i look forward to hearing from you. Tight Lines.

  • @uksoundwave So how did you get on mate?

  • can i use just normal flour instead of this corn flour rice flour and so on

  • @bozie666 Yes, just different flours have different end textures as well as nutritional value. Play around with a few types and you'll see after they dry some are harder, softer, crumblier etc.

  • why crack the eggs if their going in the blender???

  • @oobrad Habit for me more then anything. You don't need to for sure. I don't always use the shell however, sometimes using birdseed or nothing. I simply crack the eggs because I am used to doing it not because it has to be done :)

  • Can i Use Cat food not dog food because i have a cat but not a dog ?????

  • @Shane5697 You can. Many things have different nutritional value or flavors..but most are similar.

  • @BlackstoneCarp - thanks a lot i used cat food and i had a 32 Pound Carp. Thank a lot :)

  • When letting the boilies dry, ive putted some salt on them is it good?

  • @yanphuc It is not a bad idea. Salt is a great attractor which helps enhance and release a flavor or slick into the water. I've seen a method before of freezing the baits then layering them in a box of salt as they thaw..the thawing action will suck the salt into the boilie. Many commercial baits for bass and the like use salt as well as attraction, companies like YUM for instance.. Some companies sell salted minnows and such as well, more like a preservative.

  • I just made some boilies following your recipe but I used 50% of wheat flour-50% of rice flour (1cup), and for the taste, ive putted in as we are vietnamese and have some family in vietnam, they send us some dried shrimp and some dried calamar ive putted like 1 cup and a half, putted some nuoc mam ( fish sauce made with anchovies) and 3 eggs. was it a good idea? Ive also putted some oil and garlic powder in it. I am mostly going to use it for sturgeon fishing. Its the first boilies I made ever:)

  • @yanphuc Nice..Hopefully they work well for you. As far as a good idea, I don't see why not. Shrimp , Fish, and garlic are great flavors for a variety of fish.

  • can i use corn-flour? sorry about all the questions^^

  • @4Arne Yes. You can use pretty much any flour you want. This is a basic recipe, you'll notice different flours have different nutritional value as well as end boilie texture.

On a side note, what do you mean by corn flour. Here in the states corn flour is just that., flour made from corn and very similar in texture to soy flour. I only ask because I know the UK definition is quite different and is what we would refer to as corn starch which wouldn't work well...

  • @4Arne Hehe don't worry..questions are good and I welcome any you have.

  • does it matter what dog food it is?

answer plz i need quik answer i need to make some for my carp trip in 2 days:D

  • @4Arne Not really. I usually look for a good mix of carbs and protein. Try to get brands that have small uniform shapes as I find they are easiest to crush. Chicken and Liver flavors have performed well for me.

  • how big is your cup?:D

  • @4Arne In metric? 240 ml I believe

  • I made the bait and used it and caught a 25 pound carp and it was a lake record. thanks for the recipe!

  • @deerkiller219 Your welcome..glad it worked well for you and congrats on a great fish!

  • I made this bait it's really simple thanks man

  • @fisherboys151 Your welcome. Glad you found it useful.

  • thanks man will you be doing some more on bollies?

  • @timhemp Dunno. I do want to do some more tutorial videos some on baits some on rigs but I'm lazy...well not lazy but it is hard to stay in front of the camera when I could be fishing instead ;)

  • why do carp like hott flavers?

  • @timhemp I honestly couldn't say for sure. Why do people enjoy spicy foods? Carp have a really well developed sense of taste and I think that strong flavors/scents will trigger their curiosity. It could also be some amino compound or oil etc in these types of spices that they crave and not simply the "hotness", something that triggers a feeding response. Whatever the reason though spicy boilies tend to catch fish. A good spicy tuna can be especially effective!

  • what else could you use instead of dog biscuits

  • @mafiaboi27 A lot of things. I chose the dog food out of simplicity. I wanted this to be an easy recipe with a few things available to anyone. You could use other pellets if you wanted, trout halibut etc or skip the pellets and use a host of other ingredients instead. Boilie recipes can become quite diverse and complex not to mention specially tailored for specific waters. This trial and error and experimenting is part of the learning process.

  • thanks soooo much! shelf life boilies in the uk are a total rip of for the amount u get

i did it when my mum was shoping so i decided to give it go and it relly paid off thanks alot. ow and also i put cinnamon and hemp seed in mine :) and 1 last thing lol i made way to much dough so i was wondering if i could throw big balls of the mixture in as like ground bait or tare bits off and put them in a pva bag ?

  • Your welcome man, like I said simple but a good start. Shelf life have their uses don't get me wrong, but if you have the time making your own can be very rewarding.

As far as using it as ground bait, it would not break down well enough/fast enough to be effective that way. You could freeze parts of it to do later, you could also keep some of the dough on hand to wrap around the boilies. Will let you change size on the fly while fishing as well as add a good attractant kick.

  • @carpdoingbackflips Also using rolled bits not boiled in a pva as free offering should work as well. I can't see any reason it wouldn't anyway. Keep in mind of course that unboilied they won't hold up as well over long periods or to pesk fish. Should work as a good attractive freebie though.

  • @BlackstoneCarp just got back from fishing ! 17 lb in the margins what a result thanks alot !

  • @carpdoingbackflips Awesome, congrats on that, 17 lbs not a shabby fish at all man.

  • could you add food colourings or liquid flavoourings after youve added the flour

  • @mafiaboi27 In my opinion it is best to add any liquid colors or flavors to the liquid first...any dry flavor/color to the dry first. You can add food color or liquid flavor after you mix the two but chances are it will not mix as well as doing it seperate first.

  • thank you for guide

  • @poshjosh24

Your welcome and I hope you find it useful. Like I said this is basic, but a good guide fro those newer to bait making.

  • take at the begining is insane

  • Yeah it is. We primarily river fish and some of these carp are just full of raw power due to dealing with tides and heavy currents. I have had a fish run out over 100yds of line in a matter of seconds even with my attempts to slow him.

We have some lee-way with our rigs and presentation due to less wary carp on many venues, where we have it tough is in the fight, snags and controlling the power of these big ol' river carp.

  • my girlfriend would kill me if I used her food blender to crush up dog biscuits. LOL I think my balls would be in it. I could call them ballies. what do you think? LOL

  • Haha, had a good laugh at that. My girl doesn't mind the blender part so much..she hates that I make her smell all that junk though :), specially when I make any of my shrimp or fish Dat Food!

  • I had 25kg of fresh rolled bait drying in the garage last weekend, the smell (Monster Crab) was so strong, it came up through the floorboards and stank the spare room out which had her mum staying in, so its not all bad ;)

  • LMAO bet that went down like a wet fart in church.

  • She wasnt to impressed especially as it made her cloths smell. TBH i thought it was f****** funny :))

  • Ha! Bet she was as happy as the time I had a lid too tight on a bucket of fermenting maize sitting in a hall closet. After bout a week the lid gave with a good POP and sent thick foul whiskey smelling goo all over the walls/floor/door..you name it! I have to keep my buckets outside now, but it was kinda worth it.

  • @21RegimentSAS

    lol good one

  • bella denny..
