Damn, this is so sweet. Only the best souls can get together to 'rework' traditionals -can't think of a better duo for this...thank you natalie and tracy
I think the poetry of the 1800s is so beautiful--full of words that describe a vivid picture in the mind. I guess in the days before videos, words were important to describe a mood or picture.

I fell in love with Tracy when I was a little girl, and I would just stare at her CD picture. My friends made fun of her and said she looked and sounded like a man. Now I'm 25 and I still love all her songs, and her smile. I recently heard a rumor that she is gay, and it made me laugh. No wonder I had such a crush on her! But I think Tracy's voice and lyrics really touch anybody who hears them.
I had the great pleasure of meeting Natalie Merchant. (Her sister was my teacher.) The kindness and sincerity you hear in her voice is real...she is a unique person through and through!
I periodically return to this song for comfort. I hear the echoes of souls who have entered eternity and I feel a unity with those of us struggling as we go down our own roads to eternity.
Peace to the heart, and comfort to the soul. Absolutely breath taking! I never heard this before! Both of these ladies have such amazing voices, and the two of them together was pure genius!
rough rough, look dada the dogs are bow wowing. the thunderstorms are passing. and the source of all goddness is abounding rough rough look dad the dogs are bow wowing. the kids are all in from the park. now down pours the the water from the sky. fantastic and brilliant

A classic country song that I've loved for years performed by two of favourite singers with heart. Sadly it seems a bit curtailed.

Thanks for posting this 1880's hymn, sung in cannon style, by these two fine performers. It reminds me of what I believe.
