woo i never new that they haul freght cars too. i want to take the train from boston to sfo. this fall -2009-. i want a private sleeper car. then fly to asia. i cant wait. looks like fun. nice vid, post more.
yah they used to haul express mail for the postl service in those cars I am glad they dont haul that behind the trains anymore I do alot of private railcar travel and they used to tack those on the back of our cars
Good call! That is La Platte. I was trying to remember what that little village was called. A little side note: that sunrise shot was taken on one of the F*%#ING COLDEST mornings I have ever experienced in my life. Thanks for the comments!!! :)
Man this is good work!. This must be an older photo based on looking at the consist. Super Liners no longer have that name all across the sides and there were more coaches than they run now. I haven't seen freight on the end in years. They keep making them shorter over the years.

I road this train between Reno and Chicago during the summer of 2004 & also in November & December of 2007.
