  • GOD BLESS Adyghe people!!!! and GOD BLESS IRAQI ADYGHE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!

  • @Arabchick21

    Are there Adyghe in Iraq?

  • @AndyNapso Yes indeed there are adyghe in iraq. They are part of us iraqis. The adyghe people are actually not new to iraq. Many adyghe or should i say Circassians tribes have been in iraq for hundreds of years some actually have been in iraq for thousands of years. They are such nice people and are very loyal to iraq as they have adopted iraq as there homeland. But they are also very proud of their roots :)

  • @AndyNapso There hasn't been statistics on how many adyghe or circassian people in iraq. But from what i heard from the iraqi circassian there percentage or should i say the population of adyghe is huge and they probably don't make a minority. But again they haven't done any statistics on them.Iraq is actually a multi ethnic country so don't be suprised to find many people in iraq.Iraq is more of a multi ethnic country then an arab one.

    Take care and God BLESS!!

  • @AndyNapso Yeah the arabs used us as slaves when we were thrown out of caucasus by the tsar.

  • @TheBlindPowerslave mostly the turks used us as soldiers sadly

now in jordan we finally got our respect

  • @syriacanada I don't care about their fake respect. I don't like arabs.

  • Очень красиво танцуют!!!!!!!!!Машаллах! тхьэм ихъумэ ди АДЫГЭ хасэр!

  • which one of cherkes adiga and circiss is turkish? can anyone tell me

  • @Lankonij

    No one is Turkish, Cherkess\Circassian=Adiga

all three terms are the same, Circassian\Cherkess is a term given to Adiga people

  • @AndyNapso Turks try to take our name like the Cossacks, so they can feel they have some type of tradition or honor. Instead of being rootless people like they really are, they let there ancestors ways die now want to steal ours. Thats why in Turkey it is illegal to have Cherkess name, because they want to steal the works of our people and say Turkey did it. Iran and Iraq make it illegal to claim Cherkess bloodline, because our ancestors beat Persians asses in the past.

  • @Dragonmanxx5 best wishes to all adigas

  • @jabamelkadze1 best wishes to you as well.

  • @Lankonij @AndyNapso Dagestani people are Turkic and Cherkess is a term which is used for almost all caucasus ethnics,so maybe you thought they are Turkish and probably theres more Circassian in turkey compared to caucasus :) est population is over 2 million.Im half Adiga too,my mom's grand grand parents were exiled from Soviet in 1864.Proud to be Turk, proud to be Adiga.

  • @TuranicTURK

The term Circassian\Cherkess is a term given to Adyghe and Abaza, not to all caucasus, no Chechen, Ossetian, Ingush, Dagestani call himself Circassian nor Cherkess.

In Turkey they mix all they don't know.

  • @AndyNapso I didnt say they are right to call all same but example from my country. They dont really mind whats your micro ethnicity is but just generally call everybody from that regian as Circassian..It almost means Caucasian in Turkey.

  • @TuranicTURK

Then why they don't Cherkess to Georgians too?

  • @AndyNapso turks are not adigas, you fig

  • I remember my mother saying in the past often that our fellowpeople in Israel are the most beautiful among all of us Circassians. Well, when I look at my fellowladies here, I can only say that my mother was absolutely right. Very beautiful, like topmodels who just jumped from the catwalk! I respect the lady with covered hair, but yes, she doesn´t look good, and it doesn´t fit to our culture, as we Circassians have usually a positive but relaxed relation to our faith.

  • Circassians if they wear their national dress it covers all parts of the body :) so it fits our faith

  • @AndyNapso MashAllah MashAllah, being circassian means putting your belief first, if you dont have your initial belief then you lack the heart of a true circassian

  • you know something when the girls wear the adiga dresses its much more beautiful cuz you cant see how they move with there legs so it seems like they are floating but the men did a great job

  • ok I will sent you in personal messiges cause I can not post links in here

  • here mate this is the one watch?v=AqhM2_dYsXM&feature=related

  • Could you send the full link in message please? because it doesn't work

  • sure just give me onse second

  • this dance in Georgian is called Tushuri and is comming from upper caucasian region of Georgian and from natives who are refered as Tush's

  • Which one? and we call it the first here is Qafa the second is Shishan and there is parts of Laparife too.

you mean the area of Tusheti?

  • yep it is tusheti upper rergion of Georgian mountanious site. The dance itself was named tushuri because most of the natives in the area knew this dance.

  • can you send me a link from here youtube, that georgians dance it?

  • Guys ,i'm a little confused here..is this a courting dance aimed at running these lovely ladies through the field ? Don't misunderstand me,I love it but i can't help as to not ask..all your dances are involved in runing?

  • Yes it is a courting dance, the female supposed to run around with no complicated moves and the male supposed to show his strentgh and his agility to impress the female.

and not all dances are like this, you can watch other dances too in youtube.

  • super

  • and yeah maybe in turkey they are assimilated, beacus some adiga LOVE ataturk, they respect ataturk instead of respecting imam seyh shamil! i dont like these adigas!if you are an adiga, yo have to fight for your tradition and religion, real adiga respect tradition and religion an try to keep it!assilimated adiga dont.i dont know siguash ist makin me confused.but let this women live theri religion,i think a real adiga IS muslim, but not have te be a muslim.

  • Imam Shamil wasn't Adyge you know, it is known that we were the last caucasians that adopted Islam, but you know that our Khabze abd Islam is pretty much the same, about hijab we got without Islam, look at the Adyge women dresses, you can't see nothing even the hat covers the hair of the women.

and the assimilation indeed must stop, we are what we are.

  • yes, the traditional dress is like that but they were from a different time. and it added grace to an outfit, but they were not at all like wrapped around or anything and they were not like a burka...;))and assimilation is no joke, i do not want to see the days when adige are split over a matter like the hijab...right...;)

  • I'm sorry I read ur conversation here & I had 2 jump in. The Circassians in Israel r not assimilated. All the Circassians in Israel speak Circassian as a 1st language. Wrapping the head is indead part of our tradition only in tradition it's more transparent & we had to use a more seald fabric 2 suit islam. Arabs don't profit from it because it is made by women in Kfar-Kama in Adiga style. We wrapped our heads long before we adopted Islam. Sometimes it would be wrapped over a hat,

  • yes, over a hat, but those were much less tight. these are not traditional at the least.

  • sometimes without a hat, sometimes it would be just coming down the head without being wrapped around & sometimes there would be nothing on the head. It seems like u look at Arabs to learn what is Islam. U can't say u'r a Muslim & then say u don't believe in something specific in Islam. U'r either a Muslim or not. U can't chose something in Islam & follow them & drop some. Arans don't represent Islam & it's sad 2 see a Muslim shating my blood, not only because we'r both Adiga,

  • no my friend you can, what are shia and sunni? waht is hanifi? they are all muslim with different variatiopns. so you can choose what to follow. that is teh grace of islam, our interpretations of gods will are all different but realted in the overall view of one god and one set of values.

  • but we'r both Shapsug to be fed by the Kafers about his own religion. Arabs r only 20% of all the Muslim population in the world. 20%! If u want 2 know what Islam says just read the Qur'an, don't let others choose 4 u ur beliefs. Just check it urself, investigate urself & then choose. Most of the white heads u saw there r actually net headcovers which r made from a netlike fabric 2 indicate the woman is married. & 90% of those who r wearing the Islamic 1 (in Adiga style) r women over 40.

  • i agree, i don not follow the word of an arab, they are confused with what to think...it i do not have a problem with the traditional cover but it is these new ones that look more and more like a burka that i donot tolerate. the purpose is to not provpka a man to do a sin, but if all of the people there are good and adige they why wear it there? no need, maybe on the streets in a big city but in your villiage?

  • No1 is forced to wear cover her hair. We r not Arabs & Islam forbids compulsion (it's written in the Qur'an in Surat Al-Baqara). Arabs do many things forbidden in Islam in the name of Islam. Really, if Arabs r ur example of Islam, no wonder u'r not close to it :) Here in Israel we don't let others 2 defend us. In the time where it's shameful 2 be a Muslim (because of the Arabs) we carry Islam proudly. We r proud of what we r- proud to be an Adiga & proud 2 be a Muslim.

  • i never said that arabs were my example of islam...why do you say i did? i am prouder than many to be an adige. i am also proud to be a muslim but we should not separate our brothers saying you are muslim you are christian. we are all sons of nart, we must stay together and overcome such small difference as that of a head cover. can you agree with that?

  • & every1 lives his life as he wishes. I don't know why u feel a women is "treated that way" is she covers her head. & why do u think we'll "split over a matter like the hijab". We didn't adopt Islam to divide & no we didn't adopt it 2 seak protection from the Turks or improve our trade with them. We converted into Islam because we believed in it. I don't know if this is true but when u talk about Islam there's a sense of degrade. I think it's really hard to have something u'r ashamed of.

  • r u ashamed 2 be a Muslim? I don't know that's how u sound. If so then u should learn more about Islam & choose ur religion 4 urself. Don't say u'r a Muslim because ur parents r Muslims. Choose ur religion 4 urself. Another thing I which surprised me...why covering ur hair is disrespectful? I would say it's the contrary. Our women wear the Circassian hijab very neatly & beautifully. It actually emphasizes their beautiful face. They just glow in it. U would think it would make them uglier,

  • but u can't make a Circassian woman ugly :) it wasn't for no reason that they were & still considered to be the most beautiful women in the world. They just look beautiful in it. U should see them urself :) All of them r beautiful whether they cover their hair or not & everyone practices Islam as his/her heart tells him/her & that's who it should be :) So if were worried they r forced & oppressed then stop worrying we r Adigas not Arabs :) our women r most respected & most respectful.

  • i have never seen these dances...well some of them...they are very nice, but why are the womens heads wrpped so much????this is a sad sight to see adige with their heads covered like this...adige women are respected not treated this way...this is a sad reminder of assimilation...but great dancing...

  • WHAT???OMG adigas are muslims(most of the adigas, there are also christian adigas)they wear hijab because they are muslims and they ARE respected!it has nothing to do with assimilation and so on...remember, imam shamil was a muslim! a very good muslim, he has respected tradition and religion!and these adiga women doing the same, they respect tradition and religion.look there are some girls who dont wear a hijab, but they also respect religion and tradition!asimilitaon?...OMG go and read some books

  • This is not assimilation this is religion, some girls wear it and some don't, it is Islamic not Nationality, Adygs in israel are the most authentic adygs that left on earth because they never had dictator rulers on their heads, they are what they are, no assimilation from turks, arabs nor jews, they do whatever their grandfathers did, these are true adyge cherkess dances which our grandfathers used to dance here and we never saw anything else.

  • thank you sigosh ;)...this is what i meant...i am from the diaspora,my parents, grandparents and nearly my whole family was born in turkey, they fought for turkey...but are we assilimilated? NO i dont like ataturk,i dont like laicism...i respect my religion and my tradition and i am proud to be adiga AND muslim...selam

  • no, i know 199% adige are mostly muslim, i am muslim. but i do not agree with the hijab concept. it is not apropriate to our xabze. it might be in islam but adige xabze outdates islam. our traditions are those that agree with islam in many repescts and this is why most adige are muslim but the hijab is against tradition, women are not wrapped in a hijab and put in a corner. man and women are equals in adige society, unlike arab society. they have assimilated into arab world.i do much reading too

  • wearing hijab is Islamic, those girls wear it because they want too, and circassian girls wear a white hijab only and it is made in our village, it is not like other hijab it is made from specila silk.

and do you know that only in israel adyge women that get married wear somekind of hair cover that looks like little nets, it is white and married women wear it and covers half of the head, it is like hijab but not hijab, that is something left from adyge xabze, that shows who is married

  • the second thing you said is absolutely different. i can agree with that becasue it shows she is married, but the ijab is on married and nonmarried women, i just cannt agree with it. it is a littel better to know that no arab profits off of selling it to the women in your village and if they choose to wear then i guess i respect there choice. i will still respect anyone who chooses to wear it as much as those who don't but i can never agree with it. can you see my point?

  • maybe true about israel but in turkey and elsewhere all of the majority forced us to forget our traditions and culture to a degree. it is sad but true. it is our duty and privalege to regain our heritage and all of our culture. don't you think so?i mean i understand religion i am muslim but something i cannot agree with like the hijab. it was made in the old arab world to keep women safe from perverted arabmen but htis was not a problem in adygea so we never picked up this part of islam.see?

  • first af all i am sorry siguash =)i thought you are one of these people who are against islam.you are right, but our religion is a part of our tradition.a woman DONT have to wear hijab, only if ther heart agree than they wear hijab.but you have to understand that islam is a part of our tradition, our ancestors were muslims,if we want to respect them, then we have to respect our religion AND tradition.but these women ARE respected bacuase they respect tradition and religion

  • wupsow..;)) but i have to ad that our ancestors were NOT muslim. they were mainly in their own mythology until the ottomans introuduced islam in the 1700's, up untill then adige were orthodox or beleived in their ancient mythology. but i can agree with waht you are saying, i just never grew up in a society with the hijab so i cant see any one wearing it happily but maybe...

  • =D siguash you said it in a very beatyful yeah, i rad that our ancestors believed in mythology...but i didnt know that ottomans brought islam, i thought some guests from arabia brought islam to caucasus.thanky you for your informativ words =D...but with ancestors i meant imam seyh shamil, he was hthe only one who tried to make an islamic circassian alliance with one flag, and together against russia...=D..selam siguash ;)

  • thanks..;)..but it is true, the ottomans brought hanifi islam and adige adopted it for better trade and protection form russia(which actually caused the war with russia)and imam seyh shamil was actually ingush, he did unite the caucasus but it was too late when he did, by that time russia was in control of too much, it was a lost cause. Worepsow!Worepsow adiges!
