Glenn Close's character at first seems like she is a carved cream cheese statue of a Norman Rockwell impression, and then there is a scene near the end that just shakes you to the foundation.

it is SO weird how much mamie looks like her mother <3 this was a great moviee.

Why did I only just hear about this movie! Why wasn't it marketed better when it came out? I was dumbfounded when I read the names in the cast and then disappointed I didn't get to see it in theaters. Such a talented group is hardly ever put on screen together. That's reason enough to see it. :)

@Plasvi Glenn Close was absolutely brilliant yet again in this role as the docile matriarch of the family. Loved her. Wish she had more scenes. Loved her reaction to Buddy's death. I almost cried and that RARELY happens.
