I accept periods as mundane but I still need prescription pain killers because my cramps are so bad. Mine are such agony to endure I'd rather have another third degree burn than go through a period without serious pain killers. You also can't just will away hormonal changes either. You might have easy periods but assuming everyone else's are too isn't right.
