I first saw this cartoon on television in 1962 (as a kid). But, until first seeing the movie two years ago, did i realize how brilliant a spoof of " As Mice and Men" this

Avery cartoon was. I guess Screwball Squreel was really Avery's alter ego. The six (Screwy) cartoons he did with this character were really his best works.
