  • What I find interesting is the speech difference. When did Bill Cosby actually start to slur his words and sentences? Together with his manerisms his way of speaking has become such a trademark that he can be instantly recognized whenever someone does an imitation of him. Does anyone know?

  • @Paradox0ne Speech difference? He sounds exactly the same, he's slurring a few words here and there, but it's honestly just the effect of age. Look at Groucho Marx or really any comedian who's been in the spot lights for more than 30 years. Cheers!

  • Wow.. haha this is crazy! He hardly really changed. Same guy.. ;D

  • His humor would go over well to a 10 year old audience..not that funny in this one.

  • Seems to be a couple years prior to when he starred on the show I Spy.

  • Damn, back then he looked like Jon "bones"Jones, or opposite

  • 13 people didn't get chocolate cake for breakfast

  • 6 Frankenstein lookin' monsters and 6 Mummified slow-pokes got their asses thoroughly kicked by Bill Cosby - and he had so much fun doin' it too! *{; P

  • "A promising young comedian". One of the GREATEST.

  • What year is this from?

  • @canadiananny86 1963. He just started doing stand-up 9 months prior and this appearence is what launched his career.

  • @fatguyinlittlecoat86 Wow, thanks :D

  • 2:46 — L.O.L.

  • "Where's the stage?"

"It's gone! They played the music!"

  • i love humanity. not race.. thats what Mr.Cosby is all about.

  • 10 folks don't think this is Bill Cosby/can't believe he was allowed to do a routine to a mainly white audience :-)

  • I love how innocent comedians were with their jokes back then.. Now people have to result in being vulgar, talking about race or degrading women to be funny.. It's crazy how times changed.

  • how old was he here?

  • @ElWeyChingon Probably about 20-30. He was born in 1937 and color Tv was popularized in the early 60's.

  • @SpongebobMusicUnited i agree with that. good guess =)

  • @ElWeyChingon i say about 25

  • @jungledrumnbass4ever hm,oh really.? since when are you humorous i'm guessing never. because you tend to have dry humor no one laughs at jokes that mature only expect a mature audience that's why people prefer comedian such as:Dave Chappelle,Bill Cosby,Chris Rock(Older Footage's such as in the late 90's)

  • @jungledrumnbass4ever perhaps you should stick to inbreeding, because that's probably all that you're good at. I'm sure your sister is quite a catch, I hear having four teeth is sexy to many rednecks!

  • Comment removed

  • @jungledrumnbass4ever Glad to see your an active supporter of interracial couples. We could use more people like you. :)

  • @jungledrumnbass4ever -You should stick to staying under a rock, because no one wants to hear your ignorant mouth.

  • @jungledrumnbass4ever and forgot one Bernie mac may he rest in peace.

  • @jungledrumnbass4ever and my bad my made an error no one laughs at jokes that are mature* and nope not concerned about the comment it's your choice.

  • Growing up on Bill Crosy's records and tv shows, he has always been part of my life, but to me he will always be Coach Chet Kincaid, and every time I see the very poor Cosby Show (in comparison) I hear in my mind: "I'm gonna get some rizzens, and some razzens, and some rizzen mias, ha ha ha. Everyday, long as I'm away...."

  • one word: Eddie Murphy

  • what year was this?

  • what year was this?

  • I've never seen Cosby so young!

  • Cosby is a 3 time drop-out. He dropped out of Germantown High in Philadelphia then he dropped out of Central High. He then studied for a GED. He obtained a track scholarship for Temple University and then dropped out of Temple.

  • Maaan. This is a piece of history, folks

  • In ways Jay len0 shares the same stlye as Bill. Just me dont have to agree

  • He seems so white. 1955 he would have been 16 . Life goes by fast

  • His voice sounds different from how it is now.It sounds fimilar though @ 0:40-0:43

  • Bill looks so strange as a youngman lol. I'm 16 so my entire life I've seen him as....old (for lack of a better word) I love him though <3

  • Cosby is an American treasure. God bless him.

  • 8 people can't believe they let coloreds on TV.

  • @semiserioussam lol!!!!

  • @semiserioussam That's actually exactly what I thought when I saw it was in black and white and had a black dude on TV.

  • @semiserioussam STFU..You Ignorant ...Bastard

  • @semiserioussam Make that 12. (I'm NOT one of them)

  • hes got great build up...start em slow and then knock em dead!

  • Barack Obama?

  • He was a good looking cat back in the days!

  • What do you like to play?

    Pokemon!

    Pokemon!?!

  • Fucking awesome

  • More black people need to study bill cosby and his mentality. He's a model black citizen

  • @APontiacof455cubes He's a model citizen, regardless of race...

  • @APontiacof455cubes you can't be serious....

  • @mlkbeat why would I be joking? Bill Cosby has a mentality that more black people need to adopt. Listen to his "pound cake speech". It pretty much sums up what he's about. He speaks around the country, has written books and has made movies about how the black race needs to get their act together. Bill is such a great person.

  • @APontiacof455cubes You serioulsy don't see that your comment is racist?

  • @mlkbeat whats racist about it? see you're a great example of how people these days are waaayyyy to sensitive to talking about race and are waaayyyy to quick to call someone racist. The definition of racism is discriminating someone because of the color of their skin. I dont think anything of what I've said falls under that definition.

  • @APontiacof455cubes Racism is the belief that a single race is superior or inferior to another.

  • i just, love him :)

  • 8 people have brain damage

  • "its gonna cost ya another 8 dollars"

    LMFAO HAHAHAAHAHAHAHA

  • this was a year before all the segregation laws were lifted

  • Richard Pryor and that's the bottom line.YES...THE BEST.Cosby is weak, people crack at his senseless jokes because they like him.

  • 1963

  • The greatest storytelling comic of all time. Genius! One of the all-time greats.

  • @MrMZaccone

I agree he's a great storyteller. But I think he's the kind of comedian that has great delivery, but weak material.

  • @123rockfan His early material was maybe a little weak but over time he seemed to find himself in the comedy. He became one of the best of all time.

  • @MrMZaccone

    Do you like George Carlin?

  • @123rockfan Big G.C. fan, yeah.

  • Just seen him live November 12th 2010 and he was HILARIOUS. This guy never gets old. Way to go Mr. Cosby. ♥♥♥

  • 8 people got caught by the mummy

  • 1:07-1:44 LOL ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha Wolf man

  • not sure exactly which year but it looks like its between 1957 to 1962.

  • I still remember word for word a few of his early routines....he was funny from Day One.

  • man what year was this?

  • @WeFlySkyHigh or maybe they're just brain dead ; )

  • I see a bit of "Heathcliff Huxtuble" (at the end) where he's doing all those noises with his mouth.. Remember? You know, the episode where Denise gets her driver's license and Heathcliff is imitating the car that Denise wants to buy? Funeeeeeeee!!

  • "Gonna cost you an extra 8 dollars"

  • I want to see the clip of Cosby when he was drunk and beat up that midget.

  • CHARLIE, TAKE THE REINS! Charlie says, "I can't drive!"

  • ZZZZZzzzzzzzzz

  • no doubt, i say fuck and shit like a madman- but this guys is just plain hilarious without all that!

  • @grayArea1134 fucking righ- er, fiddlesticks...

  • Hand in the pockets?

  • What year was this?

  • @RichieEastside ....around 1963. If you want to really laugh, find his routines on Noah, Fat Albert, Jeffery, Dentists .... Cosby's routines from the mid to late sixties are the best. I still have the original vinyl ...favorites then and favorites now.

  • What do you like to play? POKEMON

  • GOT TO LOVE BILL.

  • It's crazy how nervous he looks at the start of this, before he gets into it.

  • 60's

  • wut year was dis

  • that was pretty great lol

  • i thought he was going to talk about pokemans and that kind of stuff

  • Back in 1912.

  • @Slaytounge not even close retard

  • @tyshonking Look at the faggot who doesn't know what a joke is.

  • Thanks for posting. That was fun to see.

  • lol i love bill people just dont understand now a days that well it was a more innocent world then ya know thats why alot people dont get it but in many ways he is a founding father of now a day comedy stand up

  • I thought this was very funny.

  • @1Hater1Truth2u u suck

  • Bill Cosby was fast, I forgot he ran track. Probably could've boxed too!

  • Bill Cosby is the greatest. He never had to be crude or obscene to be funny. He is a true genius and a good man.

  • @greatdane115 didnt he also do dirty comedy though?

  • @JonJury No

  • @bluegsp couldve sworn i've heard him do cocaine jokes and say "asshole" b4 i dunno lol

  • @JonJury He has done some comedy about drugs, alcohol, and has used some mild expletives, but his material has never been what you would consider "blue" like a Redd Fox, or Lenny Bruce or Prior or even Murphy. His comedy is suitable for children as young as their pre teens. (much younger probably wouldn't understand most of it, but then again, that is why he had Fat Albert)

  • Bill Cosby was and still is the greatest. He always kept his act clean and didn't have to stoop to being crude and vulger to be funny. He is a true comic genius and a great man.

  • what year is this?

  • @TariSays Probably around 1960 or 1961, because Jack Parr was the host of the Tonight Show. He left in March, 1962 and Johnny Carson took over in October, 1962

  • hahah that was actually funny seriously good clean jokes

  • Holy shit, before the "JELLO PUDDIN!" and "ZIP ZOP ZIPPITY BOP!"

  • hes great

  • Haha... This is amazing

  • Haha, even he knows black men can run fast from monsters, a.k.a the police :D

  • Lol he looks like tracy mcgrady

  • @DaGreatTim your white

  • He should run for president before he dies

  • im gonna miss the hell out of him.

  • Obama's funny twin brother?

  • @SpiritLevelBubble tsk tsk tsk...white people...............

  • @NebunLaCap - Gimme a break ... Since when did observing similarities between people's appearance and way of talking become racist?

  • @SpiritLevelBubble i never called you racist...you just called yourself racist you thought that is what I was talking about so now we know your racist lets just assume that. I said what I said because he looks no where similar not even .01 percent like obama or t-mac. Theres a phenomenon where all black people look the same to white people.

  • @NebunLaCap - Ridiculous statement. You're telling me I and other white people can't see the difference between Bill Cosby, Jimi Hendrix, Morgan Freeman and James Brown? Here's an exercise for you: Find a video of George W. Bush and one of the late guitarist Chet Atkins. What do you think?
