  • This is the first time that expert village helped me

  • Thanks mate!

  • its 100.78 not 100.32 smh

  • all you need to be a PROPER dj is your ears and 2 vinyl only real DJ's use vinyl anyone can mix with cd decks or a laptop it takes true skill to get 2 vinyl together

  • @FIFA10XBOX360 i could not agree more

  • @FIFA10XBOX360 this is fine, but why not just respect the fact that people do different things on say a laptop to vinyl? i like my laptop setup because i run custom effects racks and a whole bunch of different gadgets that do some hefty shit vinyls cant. i dont look at someone with vinyl and go "pfft, still doing the same old grandmaster flash shit" like vinyl djs do to others. why not work with instead of against technology, you will end up way less bitter musician as a result!

  • @dubledropa thats a fair comment. im incredibly fascist with music. sorry im only human. what i will say is you are not a disc jockey as by the very defenition of the phrase you don't ride vinyl. what u r is a live producer and your probably much better than me at it but you are not a proper a dj, well not a dj at all

  • @dubledropa yeah that is fine but what about these ppl that have no idea how to spin without a computer

  • Notes:

    chorus is 4 x 8 counts and a verse is typically 8 x 8 counts.

    BPM

    Time 32 beats counted (or 4 x 8 counts).

Start on a one and end on a one. This is "your time".

    60 x 32 beats / "your time" = BPM

Count your intros and outros and drop it on the one like James Brown!

    Hit me! Ugh!

  • isn't there a way to buy a bmp counter?

  • wow all the math stuff are hard...

  • That's craziness. There is noooooo way that I would do that method with ever record--for those that do not know GET SERATO SCRATCH LIVE it counts the BPMs for you instead of manually--The greatest assistant in helping DJs!! :)

  • @DJHALFMOON thats not proper djing

  • @liambrown0 pfft, i hate it when people say whats "proper" and what isnt. so is doing everything slow and manually the "proper" way? haha

  • @dubledropa mate its not slow when you have learned how to do it which i suggest u do if u wanna cut n scratch like a hip hop dj. what u and that other person r suggesting is taking the skill out of djing. its like getting a computer to play your guitar for u. any thicko can use a bpm machine. peeps like u r killing the art. no offence dude but learn the fuckin skills its taken me 10 years to get the level im at and u dicks come along with your fucking bpm counters n laptops.

  • @liambrown0 well, lucky i know music theory and dont need a laptop, stopwatch or any of these other things you speak of. see if you know music theory and the names of the tempos you wouldnt need this retarded stop watch method you could just count it in your head, yknow, the "proper" way. btw, why does everything have to be done the slowest way for you to be "real" or "proper". ill be doing way cooler shit with my apc-40 and ableton then you can dream of on your turntables. stay in past, cya!

  • @dubledropa music theory??? so sum one taught u?? i taught my self

  • @liambrown0 nope, i learnt from books called 'master your theory' by a lady named dulcie holland, i completed 5 grades of theory while i was at school because i wasnt interested in learning anything else, so i taught myself in class times and at home. ive never had any formal training in music and teaching myself theory was by far the most beneficial thing i have done for my own music.

  • @dubledropa u have no idea. hip hop like punk, reggae and rave was born out of the streets where kids cud not afford proper instruments or lessons. the whole do it yourself ethic. its not about being a classically trained pianist. u have zero credibilty and pretty much everyone on this page will agree

  • @liambrown0 well, while the rest of the music world evolves around you and leaves you behind you can stay credible and use your stopwatch to do something easy like work out the tempo of a track. what is wrong with educating yourself? for me i loved music so much that i wanted to know exactly how it worked, whats wrong with that? seems logical to me. plus if you know the "rules" to music you can break the rules alot easier, because you know exactly what you are doing not stabbing in the dark.

  • @dubledropa i only use the stopwatch technique when creating a battle set and i have brand new vinyl tunes i never played before. i dont use this technique 2 mix 2 records together. grandmaster roc raider will be turning in his grave. send me a video of u doing a battle set with beat juggling and crabbing and flaring and tap pausing and i will let u off. i also play liquid drum n bass and play alongside greats such as bryan gee, send me a flyer with your name next to someone of his stature

  • waz good. i like ur videos, i have one question. to find BPM. would it be easier to count the beat for 30 sec, then double it...?

  • huge! your videos are very informative, thank-you

  • omg by a bpm counter

  • Thank you soo much this helps a whole lot

  • 3rd

  • Doesnt that mixer count bpm? :)
