fish killed and bled quickly and put on ice are superb to eat. They do not freeze well. We call them tailor here in Australia.

the big on don't taste as good as the mid size ones but big fish are fun to catch lol

You have to bleed them as soon as you catch it & then throw it on ice to take away the oily taste

i fish em on 12 lb line and 36 in leader at this bridge about 15 miles out takes 30 mins on boat and biggest i got there was about 11lb on a deep diver lure

Here in Mass that method is called feeding them frozen lolly pops. I have been in a school of pogys and while retreiving a bare snagger have had Bluefish hit it and swallow it.

Blues are a great fish, we were fishing for Bass a couple of years ago off of Gulf Beach in Milford, CT and we threw out a baby blue fish.

While we were still setting up our lines, an adult grabbed the still frozen baby blue and almost took the pole over the side.

Damn things will eat anything!

that's about average size, but they do put up a hell of a fight at ant size, don't they?!

guessing by the rod and reel not very far! i think that you would have to cast about 40 yards. here in england you have to cast alot further to get fish.
