I watched them live at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC in the 90s. It was truly the best show I'd ever seen in my life. Paranoid Android was breathtaking.
i remember last summer when i bought OK Computer... i put in it, heard those huge distorted whole notes and was immediately in love with this incredible song and band
One of the best songs in the last 20 years what a epic by a epic band i seen RadioHead in 2008 and they were epic they played the In/Rainbows set and songs The Bends,Ok Computer,Kid A, and Hail to the Thief. There style of music has changed alot from The Bends and Ok Computer days,Pablo Honey is now a forgotten classic if it came out today it would be one of the best albums. If the The Bends was out now it would be at number 1 for a long time Ok Computer will be a classic for the next 20 years.
I feel ya' man, the new stuff just doesn't have that same vibe. I mean its still brilliant, but it isn't stuff you can just listen to. This is what I'd listen to when walking along on a cold, windy evening after winning the lottery, while the head track on King Of Limbs, Bloom, is a chaotic array of sounds and lyrics relating to suicidal temptations and false hopes. Every bit as ossum, but not the same, and I miss that.

the first 30 seconds of this song are just so stupifyingly tremendous that I must listen to the intro multiple times to soak up its brilliance every time I hear this song. Genius drumming/drumbeat & fantastic layers of godly guitar sonics & achingly almost painful vocals equals just one song that should have forever made their mark even if they never made another track. And live here they just somehow top the untoppable original. God I wish this band still existed [they evolved sadly :^( ]
@wmprokipchak I love your thoughts on this, this track gives me instant chills and quivers my backbone til my soul trembles, they have left me lagging behind with KOL but this song will forever elevate and excite me.
@maxjaswhisk Airbag was also the first track I heard by the band about 10 years ago and to this day it's still my favourite track by Radiohead. It's a fucking work of genius.

@bees1982 pretty sure he once said that it started falling out around this time - which is why he stopped dying it. I wish I knew as much about foreign exchange fundamentals as I do about Thom freaking Yorke
this is such a fierce live performance of airbag! to have seen this live would of been mind blowing!greenwood is exceptional and wildly savage with his display of dexterity! natuarally able to paint abstract and incendiary yet always erotically haunting guitar passages! truely first class genius! :)
@PochoProfeta145 He uses the SD-1 now but if you just do a quick search on Jonny and the ProCo Rat you'll see that he's used it in the past. This performance was filmed in the cross-over period (from Rat to SD-1) so it'd be hard to say exactly what he's playing unless they showed a clear view of his board :P

@maxjaswhisk it only gets better from here. just keep in mind that a lot of their stuff takes a *looong* time to appreciate. took me at least 6 months to 'get' Kid A. now it will always be my favorite of theirs.
This isn't even in their top 20 songs if you can believe it. I've never heard a bad Radiohead song, especially post Pablo Honey. You've found a truly special band.
@maxjaswhisk one of the few bands of musicians.....and wow, lucky you - this for a first song? One of the greatest baselines in a song (IMHO) - offset, random, but structured - it's awesome.
good for you.. like this?check out the stunningly great "OK Computer" & the slightly more conventional hit-songy but equally high quality tuneage on 2nd cd "The Bends". From experience I see=the stuff that holds up over time=well crafted songs w/well crafted layers of artistic creations including lyrics+singing+chosen songs' harmonies+melodies+some dissonance+creatively varied playing & riffs/ bits that interlock or come in & out. Saw em on SNL last week=lacked all of these :^'(

They are very good live, I really like them. I think they're always a bit ahead of time in terms of music composition. This is one of the best bands ever to me. Any Radiohead fans out there, it would be an honor if you could take a little time and check my band's music on this channel. We've just recorded a first EP and we're looking to be heard. @zephranna01 Aha, so really, you're trying to make a point that if you antagonize a troll it will just get worse? Or are you just being stupid?

@zephranna01 I'm sorry, are you retarded or something? You're just wasting space. You don't even like this video anyway. Piss off.

If you think Radiohead is boring, youre not pushing the envelope, trapped in a loop of lies, this music frees you.

Damn. I wouldn't expect it to be this good live.

If you like Radiohead then you like some of the best music ever and it would be great to have some feedback from you. Thanks. Peace
