Hey! I have a copuple qustions, one of them is how does this work with (norwegian) subtitles? i guess its streaming that too (but will it work wiht the æøå) ?

Second, am i able to record a show and put it ON the pc harddrive?

As far as i know only 1 person can watch this, which is ok, but how good network would you need to have to stream worldwide? does it depend on the home network (I aint guessing that) or where y are? (also is 20/20 good enough?) on my cabin i have only a couple mbit's

can this link to a standard free view box ?? what if my family at home change channel will that change the channel where I am watching abroad?

@aaron85077 Yes if your family changes the channel then it will change your channel. However, if you only intend on watching freeview, and you are not fussed about having 'dvr' functionality (recording etc), then you can get the slingbox pro. I have this and it has a built in freeview tuner, so you don't need to connect it to a tv at home, just connect the antenna and ethernet and you are done.

UPDATE TO MY PREVIOUS REPLY: You use the virtual remote on the 'SlingPlayer' which outputs the TV/video output originating from your SlingBox over the Internet. Hope that's a bit clearer... ;)

If you've already got Sky Sports at home, it's simple! Just link your Slingbox to your Sky Digital box & then use the virtual remote (featured in the clip) to change channels. So basically, you can watch whichever 'platform' you already have at home, be it satellite (Sky), Freeview or cable (Virgin TV - previously NTL & Telewest). :)

Question 1: I connect this to my only cable outlet in my house. Can Person A watch something on Channel 10 at home and Person B watch channel 20 on their laptop somewhere else in the world?

Question 2: If Question 1 is possible, is there a weakness in the picture quality if both Person A and Person B are watching the same channel?

I have a question, everywhere it says you can control your tv from anywhere, so does that mean I can record the TV shows I watch onto my hard drive? So in a way could a slingbox replace a TV Tuner?

By watching a recorded program from the sky+ planner does it still count as a viewing figure? If u don't know could u pass the question around too c wat the answer is?

what size screen were you watching on? what was the upload speed on the internet connection (or was it a local stream)?
