THIS THING WORKS, i bought 500lb rocks for cheap infested with aiptasia, within few month of using this product and changing water, never seen a soul it has been 5 years now, i tried, pepper mint shrimp. butterfly fish, Berghia nudibranchs or Berghia, Joe juice, vinegar never work, more and more Aiptasia kept coming. Aiptasia loves it and it kills them so fast and is safe on corals as long as you don't apply direct to them
I actually have used this on unwanted strange polyp specimens and aiptasia. It actually does work really well. Very nice product and I did meet some of the Redsea staff at a reefshow, they do take pride in their products and I could tell they cared about thier clients. Thumbs up for Red Sea.
Im glad some people are having luck with this stuff.... I have applied it to the same aiptasia at least 10 times and they keep coming back. Ive used better stuff before. Im just going to keep applying it till I run out and get something else.
this product is not that good use it alot but still have to use it every 2 weeks not all what they say it is even kills star pollups n mushrooms b careful does not eliminate like they say sorry unsatisfied customer
I actually bought this for like $18 at my local shish store. My question is after you inject it into the aiptasia what happens to the left over liquid sitting there? Once you turn the pumps back on won't it circulate around the tank especially if your treating a dozen or more large and tiny aiptasia? Will it kill other corals sitting close by, like my yellow polyps if the liquid drifts over to them?
It's true that it doesn't work as good as they say... but it is the better of all the destruction method that I tryed. It is really cheap and it's reef safe. It worked better on bigger one than smaller one (probably because they are harder to shoot at). I definitively recommand to stop the powerhead before use.
Doesn't work as good as they say. the first time I did it they all just went away for 3 days then came back. I just did it again and I see some are coming back again.
My peps won't touch them yet. I been using The sodium hydroxide in Turkey baster method. Kills them real good! My Aiptasia X will be arriving soon. Something tells me it won't be much different to what I'm already doing with the cheaper Kalk. I just wanted to compare all the methods really.
honestly don't waste your money on this or joe's juice, Just go to walmart and get some some pickling lime. 5 bucks for a pound.
I'm not sure about this product, but I was dumb enough to buy joe's juice and its nothing but pickling lime repackaged and priced a million times over cost.
My 55 tank had at one time 100 aiptasia, because I was lazy. I got 3 peppermint shrimp and 2 weeks later I had like 5 left. those I killed with with the pickling lime.
mmmmm I have a new setup with just live rock. no feeding at all. Tank has been up about a month. Had only one to begin with, now I see at least 20! I don't think overfeeding has anything to do with it.
dont waste your money guys, the reason aiptasia grow is because of the excess food in your tank from over feeding if you feed small doses less food gets washed around your tank feeding the aiptasia, simple solution, STOP OVER FEEDING YOUR TANK
I've tried peppermint shrimp with limited success. Aiptasia-X is a God send! I used it today for the first time, and I was able to kill about 90% of the Aiptasia in my reef tank! I also added 4 peppermint shrimp for back up maintenance.

@MrMattNice nop, the remainning liquid will decompose, this is harmless to sensible inverts and corals.

It does work! But you'll need to turn off the pumps for at least 40 minutes.
