i have a llama named root beer, and i almost did make it to the mn state fair, but not quite. that one guy with the suit on and who's llama was the bride is in my 4h group. he is so good and always gets blue!

I got a new llama and she spits at me all the time.  The local expert said it's because she's a teenager in llama years. She's 2.

I am a llama showman, and this is a terrible representation of costume class. The rules at the national level is that you cover as much of the llama as possible, and the theme has to be obvious. They have also had costume class for over 10 years in Texas.

Great story--thanks for debunking the spitting myth. There are a surprising number of people who breed or own llamas in Minnesota.They're great animals--clean, not hard on your pasture like horses, gentle with kids, and just plain beautiful. Thanks for the story!
