  • try playing a fighting game with that controller damn

  • @trinitaterion ...It will be like playing in an arcade, maybe? :/

Also, the controller it's not big at all. You can also connect classic controllers and Wii remotes to it...

  • i think they killed it

  • whats funny is, i did research, and after all the hate i trolled :) the wii u seems kinda cool... IM not a troll and I heard some things that obviously weren't true. I do have to say one big thing, nintendo is certainly leaping forward from where they were before

  • if thats the wii u, then whats that console then? it looks like the wii we have

  • @Yepi69 That is the Wii U. The current Wii doesn't have HDMI ports. Duh.

  • @Yepi69 You just answered your own question. -_-

  • Sd card slot?

Waiting for Wii U Homebrew channel.

  • @Makaveli456 nintendo is stepping up against modifying your systems. im sure that when you modify it, your wii u will brick

  • @Makaveli456 amen

  • This video Gave a mental orgasm

  • why is the system itself so long?

  • @1haitian1 compared to the 360 and ps3, it's till a tad bit smaller

  • Where is the Ethernet connection??!

  • @djdavedoc The wii has wifi so the wii u will probably have it to.

  • @djdavedoc This isn't the final version, and Reggie said a while back that the final should or will have Ethernet slots.

  • @djdavedoc It probably comes separate since you see 2 USB in the back you fool

  • @VoltageTHD Um fool? I aint a fool so fuck you! WHY NOT INCLUDE AN ETHERNET PORT??!!! NOT EVERYONE USES WIRELESS!

  • @djdavedoc Like he said, ethernet port on USB i don't see why anyone should have problems with that. And all that for a simple joke.

And also our solid speedy guy said, the final version will include ethernet. So this should answer your question.

  • @djdavedoc This is just the beta console, don't worry!

  • @djdavedoc That connects to your ass. Its oviosly wireless

  • Have that console in matte black with a blue neon disc tray... pure sexiness

  • Ignore WARRIOROFTHEJEWS, it was just sent here by the infamous Trolls, especially the "Forever alone" clan, from the planet NOLIFE.

  • @juventinorocks if we all flag him we'll never hear form hime again :D

  • And who wants to play on a controller that fucking big, omg is this a god damn touch screen TV remote or what??!!

  • @WarriorOfTheJews It's if the TV is taken by someone then you can continue playing on the controller. If you notice while playing A game on A Ps360 controller then you would see that your right hand never leaves the right side of the controller & same with the left hand. The Wii U keeps that format of keeping the left side of the controller on the left side & vice versa for the right. That means that you'll still be able to play normally.

  • @WarriorOfTheJews You must be a gay little prick kid.

  • @WarriorOfTheJews And a selfish dick sucking retard.

  • @WarriorOfTheJews You don't like their games? what do you like then?

  • Comment removed

  • @WarriorOfTheJews :areyoufuckingkiddingme:

  • sega >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>nintendo

  • If there is SD cards for memory I'm guessing that someone will very quickly figure out how to download save files for WiiU or what ever it might be renamed as.

  • @papermariodude101 Or more importantly, roms.

  • This does look nice but the fact is we don't need this yet seeing as the Wii has a shit load of life left in it still but having said that i will be getting this on launch day and i look forward to it.

  • *points to the orange port* Sensor Bar Port

*points to the black port* Power Port...HDMI

*points to the yellow port* Not really sure what that one's for.

Was I the only one that laughed that the "Kotaku" guy mixed up the AV/Composite video and power ports?

  • loooks like absolute fucking shit

now that i have your attention... THIS SHIT LOOKS LIKE IT FELL FROM HEAVEN!!! DEAR FUCKING SANTA!

  • @DattebayoAMVs ähm...if you would use your brain it may be that this one is just a prototype...and the 264 didn't look good, too, but it was more succesfull than the playstation! So sit down, drink some tea and chill.

  • @Bash2385 lol, eh hem, did you not understand the humor in my comment.. i was praising the damn thing :P

  • @DattebayoAMVs okay sorry im in a comment-write phase or however :D i already have to make that captchas because i wrote so manycomments...

  • ITS.... BEAUTIFUL

  • Such a sexy console x]

  • no gamecube controller lots???

  • @5h0ckblock why would you want that ? :O

  • @sammyd64 well my friends never shut up when they can't play brawl(or any wii fighter for that matter) without a cube controller.

also what if i wanna pop my cube games into the system. after all If i trade my wii in for a wii u then how else am i supposed to play older games?

  • @5h0ckblock well maybe you should let the cube go or buy one for like a tenner ? xbox and playstation gamers seem to get by without playing there old games on their new console. also a gamecube will be TWO generations behind the wii u, its like you cant play gameboy games on a 3ds

  • @sammyd64 xbox and playstation players can still play there old games(although only a handfull work.

In any case I know the majority of players don't care but I also know some people who still play older games.

gamecubes tend to break easily(I've had 2 already) so I really don't like the idea of buying a third just because the next console won't support it.

  • @5h0ckblock

I still have my Cube and my Wii. 7 years, working fine, just like our N64. Honestly, I believe the exclusion of GCN support was because Nintendo believes that A.)Not everyone plays their GCN games anymore or B.)Nintendo's gonna pull a surprise buttsecks action on us and release GCN for the VC. The latter, has a Million-1 chance, in my book.

  • @NewZen41 Yeah and I still have a Intellavision that still works, but I'm not bragging.

  • @mlj21299

And yet you STILL found it necessary to make this post...nice going.,..

  • @NewZen41 I know, it was sarcasm lol, but I do have a Intellavision that still works...

  • 0:19 i thought i saw a nds card slot

  • @BabyMarioFan793 just an SD card

  • why don't Nintendo go on to making a full fledge computer? I mean they should ditch consoles and make computers.

  • @ibprofin100 Because thats not the business focus Nintendo choosed, their main focus is entretainment software i.e. Videogames, if they started to build computers that would mean they would become a Computer software & hardware manufacturing enterprise and would have one hell of a battle to enter the market that MS and Apple already dominates.

While it would be cool to have a PC built by Ninty it wouldn't work just like that without a good market reception.

  • damn the that wii u console is sexy...

  • I guess anyone that goes over to someones house that has that would not be able to play with them because that controller is probably $299. This is probably one of those 1 player systems, *sigh*

  • @boredandbootleg Uh no, seriously has anyone even been keeping up on the WiiU news. Nintendo has stated while the system comes with one controller your friends can use the normal Wiimotes or classic controller to play with you.

  • @AshXXMayftw oh, cool i have a wii but I like x box more xD

  • Will call of duty on wii u finally have all the stuff as the XBOX and Ps3?

  • @Rodrigo4626MASTER

    That and more

  • ... Nice hand ... ^_^

  • When does it come out?

  • @jacobandollie This december.

  • No optical output? Nintendo FAILS AGAIN!

  • @VincentTelly ... what? optical out? there are no systems on the market that have optical out don't be silly

  • Looks like a naked 360

  • Still a little lost about Nintendo's direction with the WiiU but I'm hoping that they'll do the right thing, still a bit skeptical about the Controller design though. But I'll wait to see how it'll preform.

  • @RyanKenny59 Capcom has said "Wii U will be radically different from the Wii U we saw revealed at last years E3 event, and will offer many more possibilities". By the sounds of it it might look nothing like this and have more capabilities.

  • @PalacePlayer Thats good to hear, but I'm still curious about the controller, since Nintendo is still debating if its gonna be a 1 person controller and everyone else would use Wii Remotes, I'm gonna be pretty upset if thats the case, but what I think Nintendo should do is that the WiiU should come with 2 controllers, and then you'd have to buy the rest, since I'm guessing its gonna be like $120 for a controller.

  • @RyanKenny59 It has been confirmed that you can use 2 of the remotes at the same time and I think I read that they will offer multi tasking between remotes (for eg. 1 person can be playing a game with the remote on the system whilst someone can be doing something else that doesnt require a lot of processing power like search the web or something)

  • @PalacePlayer oh ok, glad to hear that it won't be a 1 controller console, that was one of my biggest questions about the Wii U. (though still curious about the price, but I guess in time I'll find out) since 2 remotes can be at the same time, I'd imagen that it'll be able for 4 controller console too.

  • @RyanKenny59 You can use a mix of remotes, so far we have seen 5 remotes working on the 1 system (1 WiiU touch controller + 4 original wii remotes on the 1 game) but this was before nintendo said that it will work with 2 WiiU remotes, so I don't know if the limit is still set at 5.

  • @PalacePlayer hmm... a 5 person console, that'd be pretty unique for a system, however I can picture it'll be a little different playing games like Mario Party with an odd number of players. however I can see Smash Bros 4 being a lot more cooler with more that 4 players. still I hope it'll be compatible with 4 Wii U controllers. or better yet, 4 Wii U controllers and 4 Wii Remotes at the same time, massive 8 players.

  • @RyanKenny59 It might but it will drag the power down a lot, I mean if its small games and such its fine, but the console is sending signals out to these controllers, especially if you use one of its features to switch the game to your controller, its got to send the game to 4 different controls. So i guess mini games and all it will be fine, but bigger much more power hungry games will probably not do this.

    /watch?v=trf9aRIV8oo

this is a demo on how it could work

  • @PalacePlayer pretty interesting, it would be cool playing 5 players like that. but I do see your point about giving off low signals if there are more, or 8, controllers. depending on how the maintenance of the console will be like when its fully finished. still I hope its capable for 4 WiiU controllers, and the using Wii Remotes is an optional control set depending on the games. I wouldn't like if only 1 player had the WiiU experience while the other players had to use Wii remotes

  • @RyanKenny59 I think at most it will have 2, I mean people gathering under the one roof too play games is almost becoming a thing of the past what with online gaming and socialising.

  • @PalacePlayer yeah unfortunately that's what video gaming has come too, I honestly have a lot more fun when playing with my friends on the same console, thats something I liked about the Wii compared to the 360. Me and a bunch of my friends hang out all the time and play endless hours of Mario Kart 64 and Mario Party (usually the first one) I tried online with Halo like once (1 month of free Live) and though it was sorta fun, I still prefer having my dumb buddies in one roof hahaha

  • @RyanKenny59 Yeah main reason why my cod experience doesn't go past cod4, after the immature childish take over and the calibre of people you had to play with, much rather be in the company of friends

  • @PalacePlayer I agree, I was fine with CoD until the 4th one, then I just couldn't stand the fan base of the game and how it was so popular online, I've tried it and didn't like it, I then tried it with my friends, though it was better, it was just more fun and simple to play locally, plus theres no fee unlike Xbox Live.

  • @RyanKenny59 Well screen cheating is A thing of the Past

  • @supernovacomics and I will miss ambushing my friends in 007 when they don't realize it.

  • @RyanKenny59 lol you ass. I bet you used oddjob. That midget always made me mad when my friends used it

  • @supernovacomics hahaha True, I usually use Oddjob. but actually I've played Worlds not Enough more than Goldeneye. But I look for the cheapest way to win in any game I play. hahaha

  • @RyanKenny59 Noobtubes, camping, glitches, every game has cheap tricks I salute your inner noob & good luck :)

  • @supernovacomics hahaha Thank you my friend, I will continue being a cheap player and winning my battles/rounds the unfair way.

  • @RyanKenny59 I've been told from different Gamestop employees that it'll be $80. That's only like $30 more then the 360 or PS3 controllers. When you take into account what it does, that's a fair price

  • nes,snes,n64,gamecube,wii,wiiu? WHY U REPEAT!?!?!??!

  • @SamXt0 they have said that they may rename the console according to G4 and Insert gammer

  • how do u got the wiiu

  • She's a beauty. Anything can happen as long as one of these is hooked up to my tele. 2012? End of the world? Bring it :)

  • it doesn't really matter but what is with Nintendo and making small consoles? lol

  • eso no es una consola es la tablet 2 con nuevo procesador y diferente color..... NO ME GUSTAAAAAAAAA

  • @mauricito121 Lo siento, pero si es una nueva consola, asi como el N64 o Gamecube fueron consolas en su tiempo, Wii U es una consola, no solo es un tablet 2 ~.~

  • Very Nice, but will it blend? That is the question

  • right because the controller the size of a plate will make everyone happy -_-

  • I want to use my 3DS as a controller

  • @IIIIITHE1IIIII can u really do that

  • @88bloo Miyamoto said that they are considering the idea

  • I hope the wiiU gets a 3DS/Ds player like how the Gamecube got the GameBoy player

  • @twomptable considering the Wii didn't I doubt the Wii U will. But if one actually owned a 3DS why would they want that?

  • @GenmaTheSamurai well if one already owned a gba,why would they want a game boy player...

  • @FilmographyM touche, but considering how things are now, the GBA had actually very little you could do. I suppose they could because of the dual screen, but fact is you would'nt be able to use 3D mode most likely. But actually I could see it doing that considering you could do everything the 3DS does (with exception of 3D).

  • @twomptable Yes it will, they have already said it, biggest discussion at the moment with that idea is linking the 3ds with the new online system plus how super smash bros and both 3ds and wii U will interact with each other

  • He's not sure what the yellow port is for? Does he think that the wii u runs on batteries?

  • one thing the PlayStation copyed the wii. playstation made a wierless controler like the wii same kinda look only it has a big ball on top of it

  • what pisses me off is that all nintendo fans have the same excuses why wii is 100 times better than ps3 or xbox. When wii u doesn't do good look whos gonna start crawling to us

  • @francotico1 I'm a Nintendo fan but I've never claimed the Wii is 100 times better than PS3 or Xbox... I just happen to like Nintendo games and you can only get them on Nintendo's consoles. As for the Wii U (or whatever they end up naming it) I think it's too early to really tell, but at least it will finally have a decent online system (fingers crossed), HD graphics, and third party support (fingers crossed).

  • @Nanofuture87 i respect what u just said there because most nintendo fans are kids and keep saying that wii is better than xbox or ps3. tbh i have a wii and its been months since i turned it on. Although the only problem i have with it, is its launch titles which most are just old games that came out years ago

  • @francotico1 I'd disagree with that logic that most Nintendo fans are kids. Nintendo appeals to a wide variety of ages such as myself as they always have. With the Wii they targeted the casual gamer market which is mostly middle-aged women and most people who don't game very often. If you want to see kids and they're ignorant opinion of a console go to the 360 with all the twelve year old with CoD and Halo.

  • @IDrumNaked Wii has only like a few M rated game and 100s of Everyone games. Yes i know that Xbox is infest with COD kids, but i have PS3 and all i see is adults and teens.

  • @francotico1 Just because the Wii doesn't have a lot of M rated games doesn't mean it's specifically built for children. Nintendo has always had a policy against Mature content and anything related to religion and all sorts of stuff (there's an entire list go check it out). I have all three including a PC thus making me an idort and I can safely the only console dedicated to children is xbox. It has little to no games and is filled with nothing but shitty service which you must pay for.

  • @francotico1 Give me the "same excuses why wii is 100 times better than ps3 or xbox;" I'm curious.

  • @Atomcitypasi I hope you're trolling..

  • Nintendo are true gamers

  • @f47007 Yeah! :D

  • @f47007 Yes!

  • So i gotta buy a new Wii? GODAMMET!

  • why would i want a shitty wii u, when all it is is trying to emulate ps vita mixed with a ps3?

  • @qwerty209 Yeah, all Nintendo wants to do is emulate the PS Vita and mix it up a bit with the PS3. That seems about right. [/sarcasm]

  • @qwerty209 It will be a lot easier for developers to support the Wii U + tablet than to support PS3 + Vita, the main reason being everyone who buys a Wii U will have a tablet controller. Not everyone who owns a PS3 will own a Vita (buying both, new, would cost you 500 USD from retailers even today), making it riskier to develop for. Incidentally, this is also the main reason why the GBA to GameCube link system, Move, and Kinect all got/have such terrible support.

  • @qwerty209 *face palm* idiots like you make me loose faith in humanity sometimes.

  • @qwerty209 you do realize wii u was shown first right?...idiot-_-

  • Can i start the Wii U with the controller or is

the powerbutton only for the controller?

  • Lol.. this is for kids. I wait for PS4.

  • @Atomcitypasi PS4 is going to be mainly towards the casual market, and how is this for kids? Just because it's Nintendo?

  • I'm tired of all these fan boys trying to big up their favourite console, as a PC gamer I can say that Nintendo revolutionised a LOT and are DEFINITELY the most innovative with home console FEATURES, analog stick, rumble pack, the 4 button face design, motion control and touch interface with the DS, the Wii U is just trying to get everything they've achieved into this controller.

The xbox720 and PS4 won't come soon as the PS3 and 360 sales are strong still, the Wii sales are dipping.

  • @xilefian I dont want to be that guy, but Sony is the one that brought innovation and revolutionised Analog sticks and Motion gaming

  • @Martyrules Can't tell if troll or serious...N64 Analog stick, Wii Remote Motion gaming

  • @xilefian Sony Flightsticks, Playstation Eye Toy

  • @Martyrules If anything Microsoft was the one to rip off the Eye Toy with Kinect. The technology behind the Wii remote is radically different than the Eye Toy. If you want to go way back, Mattel made the Power Glove for the NES (though it was a piece of junk). As for the analog stick, the Atari 5200 had one (which was also a piece of junk).

The major innovations that Nintendo has brought are game licensing, modern d-pads, modern controller layout, game saving, etc.

  • Lol, Sophia thinks the WiiU is already out.

  • @WovenMarx Well to be exact, the Remote detects the movement from the bar. even when the bar doesn't move.

  • This console has a lot potential.

  • Right, so there's a sensor bar port so i'm guessing that'll be used to connect the Wii U controller AND/OR Wii remotes. If it's not needed for the Wii U controller, then i hope that i still get one when i buy it. There's some good games on the Wii that i want to play again and if i have to go hunting for a sensor bar along with the wii remote plus, nunchuck and games, then i'm afraid i am going to cry.

  • @WovenMarx Lol. The Sensor Bar doesn't connect the Remote to the Console. It's just a bunch of LEDs (Really you can replace it with a similar looking light source).

I had the opportunity to use it once, but i never asked about the sensor bar. So i cannot help you. (Even though you never asked me)

  • @Katzelle3 Well it detects the movement from the remote. either way i'm still going to need one to play my old games. i just gotta keep my fingers crossed and hope that Nintendo can win the public over.

  • PS3 plays dvd's, i just hope the graphics dont suck like the wii does, if its the same it could never be better then PS3, fuck the shitbox, not in the same lead as PS3, ps3 is much powerful,

i just really hope the graphics are better and you can buy smaller controllers for that thing because thats too big of a controller

  • @Dantedijon

No question anymore. This thing will beat the PS3 power. twice.

And i'm pretty sure, they'll release a controller without a screen for that. And if not, we still have the classic controller.

  • @Katzelle3 but we will see which system has better graphics

  • @Dantedijon You mean PS4 vs WiiU?

Yeah this is going to be a big fight. Sony already said, they won't do really big graphical upgrades with the PS4. So we'll have to see.

  • @Katzelle3 i love the wii only thing it lacks is graphics basically and others but for me mainly graphics, i really hope this system has much more improvement it looks well put but we will never know till we try it :)

  • @Dantedijon Third party developers say, that nintendo asked them about the Hardware. The developers gave feedback and Nintendo was going after their wishes.

The WiiU hardware still gets improved constantly.

  • @Katzelle3 PS4 will be late, so it is actually more like Wii U VS Xbox Infinity.

  • @xdlugia1 But my question is, does Sony still have money to buy new and expensive hardware.

  • @Katzelle3 They have money to develop it yes, but there is a line between performance and price... If it is gonna be a good console, it needs good hardware, but it must not overdo it and make the price sick (like PS3's 599 US DOLLARS).

Wii U will be between 300 and 600 dollars (my guess is 450), so if the PS4 is going to be "superior", it will have a really high price tag which will kill the Playstation brand (SEGA). So all the fanboys saying that PS4 will have way better hardware are stupid.

  • @xdlugia1 Yeah, that was what i wanted to say.

And about the discs... I think you already know that, but the WiiU will use his own Disc Format which saves about 25GB. Nothing holographic on that.

  • @xdlugia1 Sony also has lost money, while being busy with Samsung, Apple and other companies...

  • @xdlugia1 ?

  • what the cost

  • I want it NOWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @PacMan1096 No Xbox consoles play DVD's aswell, PS3 is matched to 360 and also uses a Blu Ray games. Wii U will not go into competition with PS3/360, but it will when 720/PS4 will release.

  • @17jun1989 Nintendo doesn't want to go into competition with Sony and Microsoft. But that doesn't mean they won't care about graphics. They'll give their Console amazing graphics, but only to give their developers more possibilities.
