  • CLASSIC 5 STAR I STILL LOVE THIS SONG MY ALL TIME FAVORITE.TEAM 5 STAR LOVE YA MISS YA.

  • We have awful music now. Thank God i experienced the 80's and 90's. I know what REAL music sounds like.

  • luv them still!!!!

  • I LOVE Five Star. Wish they got the recognition they deserve - up there with Duran Duran, Wham!, Tears for Fears, and Culture Club. I LOVE Denise. Aww. I had the biggest crush on her. In fact, there was a girl I met not too long ago who looked like her somewhat. Thought she was gorgeous.

  • This song brings back some great memories, I love the 80's!!!!!!!

  • Wow! I can't believe this. This song still sounds amazing!! Go Five Star!!!!!

  • I'd forgotten about this song. I was in the rehearsal/recording studio just after this was released, Seven Sisters Road, North London. Whitney Houston was in the studio that day too. The band was rehearsing for the Five Starr live tour. Man you should have heard the instrumental backing track the musicians put down, almost a shame to add vocals. Trevor Murrell (toured with Wham) was on drums that day - boy were they tight in sound, Buster Brown production I think. Buster Brown production.

  • @pezzado9 I really agree with you...It was a privalige to live in the 80's

  • Woot tunnnnnne 80's rock.. right abit of jermaine stewart now then some mel and kim..ha ha RESPECTABLE

  • These were huge in the 80's. Where are they now?

  • ah!, I remember this, in college *sigh* me friend David copied this Album for me, gee, I feel old now LOL

  • At one point, alone in my bedroom I nailed these moves. It seemed the right thing to do aged fourteen ::-) Liked this at the time and I think it weathers well.

  • i love this one...if you lsten to it with headphones it's just magic! full of sounds left and right, and their voices makin it beautiful

  • Basildon lol

  • I love their hair.

  • She has a sqeeky voice

  • @AaronM9552

You spelled "Squeeky" wrong, it's actually Squeaky my dear!! And her voice isn't squeaky at all, i don't know what your listening too??!!

  • Epic...

The 80's had the best songs compared to the bullshit and flaunting of skin and bling bling that most if not all "music" these worthless artists offer today...

  • It is a shame,a damn shame, that they weren't as big in the States as in Britain.

  • I love this song =). its like a story time song. I love the 80's

  • They were great, loved the songs, my decade. Whatever happened to them?

  • I really love 5star always have since i was 17.

  • ololol

Flashback to Oblivion: Shivering Isles expansion. Now I know where Bethsoft got the idea for Haskill and Sheogorath's outfits.

  • always loved this song

  • This is a great song. It proves that soul music is not one type but a complex and beautiful diaspora of artists, music, and expression. We need more groups like this today.

  • @3soulsspeak3 look up "diaspora"

  • diaspora- A dispersion of an originally homogeneous entity, such as a language or culture:

I'm using this term to express my thoughts as the culture of soul music being multi-faceted and wide-ranging. It may or may not have evolved from an original source, but it encompasses many interpretations. Thanks for the comment. One

  • i so used 2 have tha hottiez 4 delroy

  • loved these. Knocked on their front door at 9pm and asked for them to sign my lp, and they were fine and did it. My brother drove me. It was near Romford.

  • Love this song!!

  • mean thank you for this, me, my cousin and older sister used to dress up and try and be them, loved their songs, still do...are they on itunes or something?

  • yes you can get their songs on itunes, they have a few albums on there

  • Mixed race people always seem to be the most attractive as Five Star prove.

  • The UK's answer to the Jets were awesome!

  • it was the other way around, The Jets were known as americas answer to Five Star

  • ...ok...and I thought 'Strong as Steel' was my fave...and then I come across this...like totally forgot about this...I would've been about 17 when this group came out..."One in a million, my fantasy come or true, Rain or Shine".....thank you

  • still a likeable hit, for a teenage sensation poop band, they had pretty nice melodies in their songs, couldnt put them down for this :)

  • They had some of the BEST outfits ever :D

  • loved fivestar in 80s

  • OH THESE WERE THE GOOD OLD DAYS !! XX

  • Theses wee so kewl...........all brothers and sisters dressed so amazingly the same......not a hair outta place and dance together as well same not a step outta place.....wot a pity thy lost it all...the money...cars....n hugh house..........sad....shows u money cant buy u everything

Remember the wee burd i was seeing at the tim....amazing how a song brings it back to you..

  • Five Star always dressed amazing!!!!!! :D

  • if you never lived in 80s you have to live with the crap thats available now..i feel 4 u

  • @pezzad09 Everything was so much better in the 80s and early 90s. Originality and people had more pride. Just take a look at high schools nowadays. No school spirit.

  • @pezzad09 So true. Plus, they sample a lot these days. 5 Star are truly one of the great Unsung groups of the 80's.

  • this is beautiful wow!!!!!

  • its a pity they dont do what all the others are doing a comeback tour what a goup come onn the sedmans get back and tour..................

  • Pearsons, surely?

  • Many Memories of de 80's luv this song & all dea ada 1s

  • This was one of my favorite cuts off the Silk & Steel Album

  • Nice song. Never heard of it before but it's a nice lullaby

  • i love how this song ends...with all of those electronic effects and the addition of the sax and the fading effect...love it! very 80's! hehehehe. hope this style of music will come back when i get old :)

  • knocker. At least they had some !

  • Haven`t heard this for so long still luv it

  • wow i was 5yo back then and my sister taaught me the dance steps cause we sang this song on stage with my 3 other cousins! i am on tears now...weird!

  • Suddenly I remember this song - and it's still quite good. Unfortunately part of 5 Star's demise was letting a children's tv show into their house... Flaunting and showing off their excessive riches just seemed like bad taste and rather ego-motivated at the time. The lesson being pop can make you wealthy. Just don't actively invite us poorer public to see you dripping in it!

  • This is why Youtube is so great.

I had such a crush on the lead singer of 5 star, I was about 14 at the time.

Was talking about it earlier and bang I'm listening to it again and all those memorise come back.

Almost brings a tear to my eye.

  • Ha! I had a huge cruch on Doris...I was about 8! I loved 5 Star...I think I was in the fan club! Yes....yes I was.

  • that lead singer is drop dead gorgeous!!!

  • I'm a girl and I think she is HOT too.

  • ah yes great minds!

  • what a nice song takes me back . awsome . they are great . wish i was 16 again .

  • This is such a lovely song. I was 16 at the time and pretended I didn't like them! Didn't notice then but who the hell did their make-up some drag artist on speed?

  • this song is so cute. I wish I knew this when I was little here in USA, NEW YORK CITY.

  • Love this song. Go guy's, I heard on time 107.5 that u still perform, good luck.

  • I was a huge fan of them when I was a little girl. They were one of the biggest Black British groups in the 80's! I miss them!!!

  • there is something so relaxing about this song.

  • I am a hardcore fan of Five Star, I loved them obsessively. It broke my heart that I just couldn't get into this song :(( I adore the video though. It remains the only song of theirs I struggle with. I like the funky bit in the middle though.

  • I discovered this album by accident digging through my mother's 12 inch records. Great music from this 1980's period. Oddly, she had no idea who, or what the record was. My uncle's wierd , I'll ask him about it over the holiday. He probably bought it back in 1986

  • reminds me of my college days

  • weird song.....

  • Not big in the us? weird, i remember Theo having a Five Star poster on his wall in the Cosby show:)

  • I still love this song, they were so polished for a UK group! Love them!

  • the start sounds like simon and the witch intro!

  • they were never big in the USA. they had a couple of minor regional hits here, thats it...

  • I'd forgotten how many hits they actually had!

  • i met Stedman one of the 5 star members the other day, he was lovely and nice to me. i cant wait to see him in celebrity scissorhands soon :) :) :) x good luck Stedman!!x

wot has happened to five star

  • you are old ;)

  • great song

  • it is ok but bewitched is my favourite

  • SWINDON 86 ANYONE REMEBBER THE GIG?

  • I love this song

  • If the info is correct, they are doing a stint at Butlins holiday camp soon !?!?

  • Wouldn't exactly call it a camp since the 1960Lemar, Sugababes, and all Westlife and all mainstream chart artists play at their arenas these days. Same as going to a regular concert but you get to stay over and there are clubs, bars and restaurants right there. Can't knock it til you try it.

  • fair play. I was merely commenting on a picked up piece of news. I cannot comment on Butlins these days, but it was a camp when i remember it. I was a little surprised but didn't intend it as a put down. :)

  • i think you watch to many movies get a life

  • ur sick

  • They were Englands answer to the Jacksons. I loved there music, got all their albums and singles.. Where are they now ? what they all doing ??? Any of them over here in the USA ??

    NIUE GAL

  • thats some good music not like the crap of today

  • five star was a fantastic group they showed that pop bands would dominate into the 90's if i remember 2 of them had lamborghini countach's 1988 28th anniversary and one had an bmw 328 and a big mansion in which they went bankrupt good song though ^.^

  • Yes - I re-painted a white countach last year, which was apparently used by them as part of their stage show.

  • Did keep fit to this in the eighties. No wonder I never lost any weight, HOW SLOW!! Still love the tune tho. Proper retro. COOL.

  • Ah another great song by this group

  • this song reminds me of how good the 80`s where, five star were good for them dayz, were are they now, bring back the good old days.

  • your grumpy....wheres the other 6 dwarfs

  • Janet Jackson..ha ha ha

  • She wasn't in the Jacksons she IS a Jackson. Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5 = 6 men and NO women. Even Stevie Wonder can see it's not the Jacksons.

  • This is great.....I love the Jacksons

  • I know all Black people look the same to you, but there weren't any girls in the Jacksons.

  • Doesn't Michael count? He's a girl aint he? lol

  • Very funny!!

  • Doris was so fine, but I couldn't afford her anyway.

  • absolute love dese xx

  • Very good song! I've been in Romford and the market stalls are fantastic and the shopping centres are big and brilliant! No chavs anywhere.

    :)

  • Had every vinyl record they made! Then twenty odd years later bought the greatest hits c.d. Don't you just love the 80's!

  • What a perfect love song!

  • Fantastic. I Love the chorous chords "radin or shine, you'll allways be"

  • sounds like janet jackson
