  • They went thru a special romantic ride of thier lives together. Sharing once ina life oppertunities. There will always be a love there. There is resentment. But its bittersweet now. mY favorite duo ever.

  • Christ (as Lindsey would say) he frickin chases her across the stage.

  • I think this is just part of the show. They have done this for years now, and people eat it up. I think if the feelings were still that strong, they would be together. And, I dont think Lindseys wife would tolerate it if it werent and act. I know I wouldnt.

  • @clewi1091 Actually Lindsey's wife left the SYW tour b/c she couldn't tolerate the chemistry on stage...Yeah S & L say it's for show but there's real emotion behind all of it. They guys are not actors. Their musicians. Just watch his 2003 soundstage intro for her on DVD in high def...he's basically crying, and watch them hug it out at her 2011 wiltern show for Soldier's Angel with Linds. Enough said.

  • @MCSnicks I think if they had true feelings for each other that were that strong, it wouldnt be confined to just the stage. And I disagree about musicians being actors. Since music videos came out, I think musicians have to be actors. And, I think they have to be actors in their shows sometimes. No matter how many times they have a sang and played a song, they have to act like its the first time for them. Even if they are sick of the song. Also, some bands have strife but we would never know it.

  • Ambiguity, is an emotional force, "Never Break the Chain," at a cost, infidelity is insidious, and true Love should be cherished and protected. Although, In the end it makes for great Art.

  • Saw Lindsey Buckingham last night---he is brilliant & amazing. At 62, he's still got it. It is mesmerizing to watch him pick the guitar & the music he makes is phenomenal. Lindsey & Stevie are soulmates, but sometimes soulmates don't make it because it is such an intense emotional roller-coaster. She nearly killed him when she cheated on him, & it's not like she only did it once--she slept around with just about everybody in the music industry at that time.

  • I think their current partners understand. There is nothing like a first love, and Stevie and Lindsay experienced that with the backdrop of making intense, personal, and awesome music together. I think they still love each other in that bittersweet way, knowing that they can never be more than they are.

  • Maybe the torturous thing for Stevie and/or Lindsey is their love for their current S/O is just as strong as what they had/have for each other. For some it's possible to have this much passion for two different people. Unfortunately, not being able to fulfill one of those passions would evoke an everlasting heartache. I can see how a person would simultaneously love and hate performing this. You learn that life provides such bullshit at times. You tolerate and try to make the best of it.

  • I can totally relate...their torturous chemistry. My ex and I have this. Poison together but still have this undeniable profound love that is unexplainable. I see it in their eyes...they will always love one anothers soul in a way that no one understands unless you have truly met your soulmate. Hot and cold, fire and ice...and the passion...oh the passion!

  • I hope that they will be together again in the end... I love Stevie... She deserves to be happy.

  • "I'll follow you down till the sound of my voice will haunt you" one of the ebst lyrics ever written!!!

  • Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • Simply stunning after all these years. People just don't make such raw, emotional, feel it in your bones music like this these days.

I'm all for making money, but can't anyone make music because they LOVE the music anymore. Now, it's just all about money and fame.

  • I just love Lindsey and Stevie. Everytime you see them perform together live you can just feel the chemistry through the computer screen. I'm one of those (hopeless) people that still hopes that someday they'll realize they are meant for eachother and get together finally. IF it would happen it would be one of the luckiest moments in my life.

  • stevie will take all this to the grave............. thats what makes them so bittersweet!

  • yeah I bought the dvd of this concert and Stevie looks in Lindsey's eyes like you s o b ...look what you lost

  • the way LIndsey raises his hand like "whatever Stevie!" at the end is priceless.

  • Beautiful! At the end, Lindsay was "O.K, I'll get up in YOUR face bitch! {LOL}

  • They had a big reconsile that year... and she wanted everyone to know... there was a time they were very much so intensly in love... you can see it in her eyes.

  • @MRG2112MGV I think so too. Looking at this video, v=0yo_8NRQ9VQ, and specially 1:38 doesn't look like they were "just friends". Look at Lindsey, he's staring at Stevie a lot!

  • @cherokeesky34 I remember at one point of this tour Stevie was crying toward the end of this song I trying to remember if it was this show or another one but rumor has it tht Stevie was upset Tht the tour was coming to an end.

  • OK, I absolutely adore these two, the band is my favorite, and this song touches me more than yall can imagine, but I see you guys talking about L and S and the ending. Am I the ONLY one notices something is wrong with Stevie? She wrote this song, messes up the words at least four different times, and in the end, when she starts backing up, she keeps going and going and is headed straight into John, or something behind her almost. L is there to catch her!

  • Fuck! I love this song and that ending! Why did he get so close to her? Lindsey, you bastard! JUST KISS HER! They break my heart, still! They are THE couple of rock n´roll! Love how John looks at them in the end. He must have seen that back and forth betwen them FOR YEARS! Too sad they are so apart now. Thanks for sharing!

  • @ElvisLovely I think/hope the same whenever I see L & S together on stage. One of my biggest dreams is that someday they'll be together. I wish one day Lindsey would go up to Stevie and just kiss her and says he still loves her.

  • Holy crap, you could of gave some air time for the other members. I think this song has some of the best Christine McVie piano work. Could of gave her some credit.

  • Holy awkwardness Batman! I feel like I'm intruding! This vid is awesome-sauce!

  • if you like soap bopras that was a real moment not an acting one. they both have alot of feeling for each other still to this day. even thoug it can't be for now.

  • This just gave me chills.. Love it!!! Love Stevie and Lindsey.. They are amazing..

  • Cheryl Cole did her first solo gig at Wembley, supporting Black Eyed Peas. The London Times reports the show was good but one embarrasing moment when she stopped to pas de deux with one of the dancers. She stopped moving her lips but the words kept coming. The Times called this a minor blip due to her bubbly personality and long legs. I'd say it's more like a trick. Thankfully there are artists like Stevie who can really sing and would never do that to us; still great, still herself.

  • I saw them I believe it was '97. Greatest concert, great performance, great band:)

  • He makes her nervous i think they were sleeping together on this tour

  • These two were magical together..both musically on stage, and physically.

  • Beautiful and emotional. Nadine

  • She got the song title from Silver Springs, MD. Great band who Mom and Dad introduced me to at a tender age of 5 in 1977. Had the opportunity to see them in 1997 in Cincinnati and will never forget their performance. Absolutely at the top of their game, they were all sober and awesome.

  • I love it, 'You'll never get away from the sound of a woman that loves you' and here they are 35 years later and it's true...

  • yes i will, screaming all the way up and down

  • A few thousand years ago, primitive people worshiped the divine joining of masculine and feminine through "the great rite," basically celebrating (and sometimes observing) a priest and priestess having sex. Today we have tidied up the process through the love song. But wow, what powerful energy. Priest/priestess, god/goddess, you just know when it's happening right in front of you. They have always been amazing together.

  • wow, i am no chick, but i even got the chills at the end of that song, with the closeness of those two.

  • Good boy!

  • @dogg121. Dude. I completely feel you there. I am one of the most coldhearted bastards ever. But to know the story of Stevie and Lindsey, and to see them "duel it out" during this song? Yeah.. it gets to me too.

My Wife's voice haunted me when I left her for three months. She sang this song to our son at night to get him to sleep. I heard it, though I wasn't there. I never did get away from the sound of the woman that loves me.

Fortunately, I came to my senses. She sleeps beside me as I write.

  • HUH!!! Silver Springs Rules just like Tangerine by Zeeplin.

  • This woman knows how to work a song! This song just does something to me.

  • Seldom does a voice make me shiver! amazing.... she puts madonna to shame.... perhaps it is just my opinion.

  • @MameySapote No...it's not just your opinion. :) It's mine as well. And I imagine that of a lot of other people too.

  • @MameySapote madonna? she is nothing to compare to her majesty.... madonna just wishes she was as awesome as stevie nicks.. wow no comparison!!!!

  • @scottyNbecca You are so RIGHT

  • @MameySapote no< its the opion of everyone!!!! Madonna just wishes....

  • @MameySapote Stevie puts every other singer to shame!

  • @MameySapote Then again, maybe it's not just your opinion. I think my opinion makes fifteen.

  • I love the lighting used on this tour especially the lights used on this song its pretty cool!!!!!! to be honest this is a little better than the unleashed tour version

  • @TheMacfan10 She puts most of them to shame. Most of them go on stage and put on a performance, she is the performance, she just belongs on the stage, singing her heart to you. She commands your presence with her heart.

  • I LOVE YOU STEVIE

  • You cannot write songs like this and there not be love present! Love is fluid. They love each other very much but love is fluid! We all grow and change! Be thankful, they chiose to share such an intinate moment wth us (fans) for any reason! I have been to msny concerts beginning when I was 15, noe 39. Yes, I was grounded a few times but worth every second! Thank You

  • A real "christian" wouldn't be on here judging people. Just another perfect example of hypocritical organized religion trying to brainwash the world to think as themselves. Please post your negative comments elsewhere and leave this to the beautiful people that love Stevie and Fleetwood Mac. Oh yes, and go F*ck yourself. :)

  • omggggg shes so lovely a hunk of womanhood

  • will you marry me???

  • To be fair to this point Linsey would soon be married. It's of course a stage play. But to say they care only about money is ridiculous. They already have plenty what with the Rumors sales. They're trying to please their fans. They probably do get along pretty well now, though no one should pretend they are in love. Lindsey's song "It Was You" is about his wife, not about Stevie.

  • I read that they fell back in love during this tour. You can hear Stevie smile and kind of laugh when he gets in her face. Sounds like love to me... It should also be noted that Lindsey's girlfriend around this time became pregnant and that's why he married her. Check out Stevie's song "Thrown Down" about the dilemma.

  • interesting to here. I WILL!

  • @365PRAYWORKSAVEUSA Hmmm an idiot amongst us

  • god I love that freakin woman!!

  • SHE LOOKS DAMN GOOD FOR 60

  • Don't care of Stevies past she knocks on my door I leave with her or she can stay with me.

  • You're an asshole. You're just mad because Stevie rejected your sorry-ass when you tried to tell her how much you loved her. Stevie has had lovers, yes. And she has done drugs. And so has nearly every other person, male or female, who was an adult in the 80's. Obviously you must have been sitting your lame ass at church camp singing hymns and being molested by the camp counselor or you would know this. Get a life dickhead. (Stevie Rocks! I love you Stevie!)

  • I love you too. This asshole is still posting (above) so you might want to stand up for Stevie if you love her.

  • Fantastic performance. I saw FM last week and Stevie and Lindsey put their heads on each others' shoulders. Fantastic bond those 2 have.

  • awesomeness!!

  • Lindsey and Stevie were so intense during The Dance tour

  • Last I heard her recently in an interview, they live right down the street from each other and remain very close friends, especially since their reunion at Clinton's inauguration. Those bonds made in high school are pretty intense. I've been with a man almost 40 years that I fell in love with in high school. Don't knock young love!!!

  • She lives in Arizona and he lives in California.l. how can that be down the street?

  • She is 60. Lindsey has three children.

  • Stevie is 60 and Lindsey has three children.

  • best vid of this song ive seen yet..bar none..

    the end justifies the meens..

  • thanks M

     Ava

  • Of all the Fleetwood Mac Ballads, this has to be far the best, with Stevie, showing her love for Lindsey, this is most

    outstanding..quite lovely, aye luv?.... Silviogold

  • Oh wow. Now that I've picked my jaw off the floor... That was stunning.

  • Lindsay Buckingham is just the best. I wish these two could have stayed together. Or may be this is the way of being together for them?

All I know is I wouldn't ever want to be in Lindsay's

    wife's shoes...

  • @blncgln from what I've heard about her. I wouldn't want to be Lindsey's shoes.

  • @blncgln Lyndsey would have been the best if he'd kept it to himself and his woman Stevie Nicks.

Have lots of kids and grandkids but thats hard when the trust is gone...Why do you think Stevie would have had an affair with Mick Fleetwood ?? Lyndsey blew it with one of the most beautiful, talented women to ever have graced us with their presence and their immeasurable talent...Snooze and lose...Lyndsey I believe you hurt Stevie really deeply, try to make it up to her..somehow ..Good luck ??

  • @TheRiceowlex Apparantly, that pains been going on for years.

  • @blncgln I think Lyndsey blew it and is lucky to have a fucking job..!!

  • I saw them in '97 in Nashville and when they did this song Lindsey and Stevie went face to face for the whole ending of the song. My friends and I lost our minds! Stevie was shouting the lyrics to him! Magnificent stuff!

  • they were fighting for the northern star, thats all. no one was to blame...their relationship as musicians is what matters in the end...and thats what this is. anyone else cry??? "it doesnt matter what for...it always matter what for"

  • Wow! Absolutely loved this clip!

Thanks so much for posting it.

I have always loved the chemistry between Stevie and Lindsey! You can't get much batter than that. :)

  • really a great video. thanks for posting this.

i don't know if the hand lift is an acknowledgement that he messed up, of the passion they share (to this day!), or just what a great song this is. but her voice certainly changes when he approaches her. chemistry...you have to love it.

  • oh my god!! what was that in the end? lots of emotions there... she's still in love I suppose but better forget the past and move on... I adore Lindsey, he's doing great considering of all the dramas they'd been through..

  • and you know that's the reason they broke up cause yuo were there right? maybe you should wash more stevie interviews cause he wasn't all great to her either.

  • Did I strike a nerve with you or something Moonflower? I don`t think that Stevie ever denied running around and where I come from that`s been known to cause relationship problems. You of course are entitled to your own alternate reality.

  • I always wonder what their *current* partners think when they still get up close to each other on stage like that, those meaningful looks...good god.

  • OMG! I think the same exact thing!

  • @mtopper66 Their "current" partners obviously think that those two are "still" in love till the day they die...

  • @mtopper66 I think Lyndsey fucked up real bad...I would relish being in a band with my wife, our kids and grandkids in the organization, sitting in the crowd or in the wings jamming to our songs. Working together, traveling together, touring together...Lyndsey has a wife unaffiliated with Fleetwood Mac (I suppose) and kids..Stevie has no natural children (not sure) adopted (not sure) and the affiliation is Stevie Nicks...Where are you Lyndsey ?? You had Stevie and blew it boy.get outta here !!

  • Thanks so much for uploading - I hadn't seen this before!

  • i miss christine mcvie =(

  • That was GREAT!!! Love the ending :D

    Thanks for sharing nicksaddict!

  • wow, I am covered in chillbumps...

  • Might Lindsay be saying (with his hand up) that he fucked up?

  • Geez People! Nicksaddict is trying! Don't overload her! LOL...Awesome Video!

  • I have to ask, do you have gold dust woman as well? It must be a great version!!! could you post it, possibly maybe ? pretty please :-)

  • this was AWESOME i LOVE her voice here, wow amazing!!! thank you SO MUCH for posting this, I'm gona watch it all night now!!!

    ROCK ON STEVIE!

  • Alright..thank you!

  • Where was this concert at? They did this at the concert I attended in the Quad Cities also. Thanks for posting!

  • I stupidly did not label that on my saved file, so I am going back through and trying to figure that out for you:) And prety much they did it at all of the shows, it was pulled in 2004 after Stevie suffered vocal strain, it's one of my favorites that they do... that and Stand Back, there's just something about Fleetwood Mac playing that song with her that I love.

  • albany, ny is the show

  • thank you for posting this!!! :)

i will be your best friend forever if you also post Rhiannon from this concert !!!!

  • LOL, ok... I'll work on it

  • you can be my best friend now :) your request is added

  • yayyyyyy thaaank u :)
