taunts are not useless. if you taunt, your opponent attacks. then you can counter. there are also taunts that avoid fireballs, so not useless at all.

@DenTube619 He was basically comparing it to taunts in 3s whereas you receive boosts to your characters attributes such as damage boosts or faster stun recovery. Also the fact that you can quickly exit a taunt is a bit foolish due to people abusing the fact that you can cancel it so quickly. Sure taunts in sf4 aren't completely useless but compared to 3s they can't be used to win.

@DenTube619 They are especially useful if you play as Cody, who can secretly charge a Zonk Knuckle (or, even better, an EX Zonk Knuckle) while taunting. I'm surprised people fall for it when I do it.

@shiman123 it's when you do a move right after you either get done blocking or when you stand up. I think reversals have more priority as well.

@vegeta6515 I mean I really don't get it, the fighters on those games aren't balanced at all. It's the same ol' song and dance with those games. They pick the best characters on those games and you don't stand a chance. They have weight divisions as well so sometimes you don't even get to pick your favorite character anyways.

I think we have the DIFFICULT char to use like Makoto, Hakan or C Viper... they r really for advanced use... as u see really few ppl use them... but when I c these ppl playing... I get a DAMN beating lol and I use FEI LONG and Im not the worst player... Im a regular casual player. I think the main difference is the PLAYER not the CHARACTER. Just train and u can do it! ^^

@bahaanaldo yes in the options there is a setting to turn up/down the background music sound effects change voices but the bgm option is better on 360 cause then u can play the game to your favorite music

Being an ol school SF2 player and playing this game... i will admit that i am still training playing SSF4 (as i would put on my comments below before the fight) but the most honest truth is that i am not satisfied even if I win because of my lack of deep understanding toward the game. Dont get me wrong though i truly enjoyed the game. but thanks to your vids, its great that you take the time to help spread your knowledge for us to really get a better understanding of it all.. Keep it up!

Taunts can be used to make certain characters whiff, Dan's taunt can make Blanka's U1 whiff. xD

If Ken performs his second ultra on a crouching opponent, it "whiffs." Anytime you perform a move and miss with it, you just whiffed.

Hey man, I read the instruction book, but the manual doens't cover everything necessary to being an excellent SSFIV player. They don't talk about plinking or buffering in the video. I learned more from the internet than I possibly could from the manual. I only have the last three Gouken trials to complete--after I followed your demonstrations on how to do them. If you're like me, and this game is your first introduction to the series (strange, I know) the internet is a far more valuable tool.
