  • Hans Weilenman called. He wants his fly back.

  • Nice video. Thanks for uploading.

  • Not the same as Hans Weilenmann's CDC and Elk. He uses the cdc feather wrapped for the body, and remaining fibers splay out to form legs. Both look like fine patterns, but are not the same.

  • are there any CDC stimulator patterns, that would be awesome!!!

  • "Dude"

While I don't doubt Hans has created a similar pattern, there are many instances of patterns developing simultaneously. In fact I did create this fly using CDC pulled from a mallard. Since I've seen HW's web page its possible I've seen this fly there - but then again this isn't the only place it exists. This type of tie, and this fly, is and has been known by many names with minor changes for a very long time. I stand by the content of my videos and I always cite known precedent.

  • dude,

This is a Hans Weilman pattern. It's one thing to do tying videos, but don't rip off other peoples work. You didn't invent this pattern, and it certainly wasn't baked up specifically for the Mad River
