  • Was awesome dude. In their defense over at Caprica, I think they where trying to drive home that a Cylon was not running the Cylon though. But rather, the avatar was. Thus, the voice variation.

  • Cylon trying to b Terminator, and ur voice was waay better

  • that was great

  • Your voice is much better thant the original gay voice lol

  • I watched the show but I do like your voice better then what they did "P

  • i like the old one but i remember the old films and series so nostalgia?

    cylons v's the borg?

  • Old one sounds much better!

  • Nice work but what are you trying to prove?

  • Yup, yours is better by far.

  • much better, remember the original voices.

  • wimpy " bye your command"

better voice " ALL TARGET NUTRIZED... PROGRAM COMPLETED BYE YOUR COMMAND!!"

  • Why the studios chose such a wimpy voice is beyond me.

Your rendition is DEFINITELY much better!!

  • dont know how i got on this vid...... but the second is so much better man....

  • I like the original cylon voice from the original series even more as well. It's more menacing.

  • The improved sound is MUCH better!

  • Damn, you are right!!

    Thx dude, this was cool watching, i saw it 4 time's in a row. . . .

  • loved.... sounds like the original series...

  • second sounds so much better !

  • Hey, can I ask a nerdy question? How did you delete out the original voice but keep the original music?! I always thought that'd be really hard or even impossible to do!

  • @sumbuddyx prob a 5.1 rip..just get rid of the center channel for those few seconds...and add your own sound :)

  • It's Gary!!

  • The 2nd one sounds just like the original BSG.

  • First one sounded better.

  • your voice tone was better, just need a little more punch, like a little more volume and bass. Everything else about it is great

  • Really miss this show and BSG.

  • Good work. The first one just sounded 'weak'.

    Your version is spot on.

  • excellant, I too prefer the old bsg voice!.

  • what software did you use? Can you tell me a step by step way of doing this? I'm also on a limited budget can you tell me what affordable software I should get?

  • Its a prototype...its not supposed to sound the same has "the real thing"

although some of you may be getting what you wanted to see in the new blood and chrome series, although i'm sure they might enhance though's voices a bit too.

  • 1st voice is lame, like a robo mouse. Second voice is what you expect to hear from a killer robot. Thumbs up for that!

  • i like the last voice

  • CGI=FAIL!!

  • BY YOUR COMMAND

  • BY YOUR COMMAND

  • All targets neutralized. Program completed. By your command.

  • DUDE....YOUR VERSION is waaaay better! Why the hell are you sitting on the couch and some douchebag getting paid.

    YOU are clearly more talented!

  • Your version of the voice sounds like the voice of the classic cylons from the original show, Battle Star Galactica with Lorne Green.

  • I love your version... Well done!

  • Your voice is waaaay better!!! I don't know why they always have to change everything that was good in the original!

  • ty for this

  • Yours is a Cylon. Their's is a Star Wars Battledroid cylon rip off. I hate the new Battlestar. They ruined everything.

  • @Umbereth LOL. Fail.

  • @Umbereth you don't know how reassuring that is to hear another person say that, i was beginning to think i was the only one.

  • I like the second voice. The first sounds false. By the way what sort of vocoder did you use? I own an ems system 2000 and the voices produced by this vocoder are perfect for cylons.

  • First voice is wy too soft and nice for a killing machine.

Second one is just perfect and sounds like an original cylon

  • the cylons are soundwave

  • is that microsoft Sam?

  • Second one is much better, it sounds more like the original cylons!!

  • first: you sound a bitch ass calculator

second: so...that calculator sure sounds like a bitch huh......please dont hurt me.

  • that is too awsome

  • Your Cylon voice sounds like the way I remember as a kid! Nicely done! First one is weak...

  • classic

  • I agree, the second voice is much, much better!

  • Awesome....awesome,awesome,awesome!!!

  • sounds more like the original cylons... which is to say, better.

  • ...looks so fake..damn stupid CGI

  • @SteveSabbai come on now, it's not THAT bad now is?

  • @SteveSabbai well its a tv show not a movie and its on a basic cable channel think about it man its good for what it is

  • The visual design of this Cylon is the only highpoint to be found in Caprica. Rest of it is pure fail.

But your voice for it is awesome. The original sounds almost musical.

  • MAJOR IMPROVEMENT.

  • the second version sounds beter, but it also sounds british :) british cylons mmm interesting hehe

  • @alexyp I always noticed that, too - the refined "British" quality in the Cylons' voices from the original series, the new ones just sound computerized

  • EXCELLENT WORK!! Your version is definitely better than the original.

  • Yes finally another person on this planet who understands what´s it all about. Very impressive

  • woohoo thats awsome, the other one sounds weak and gayish

  • your voice was done way better.

their voice was like "by your commehhhhnd" - it was almost a drawl

  • I love the cylons! Moreover, the way they sound! I'm a 70's kid & only prefer the original voice/your voice you recreated. Nice work!

  • Very good! That's the way Cylons shoud speak, and not leith the 1970/80's voice. Not by your command!

  • Sounds the way the cylon should sound. And keep it that way.

  • I LIKE IT !

  • Think I like yours better...

  • Wow, really great video! How did you do it?

  • Great video amazing.

  • That was excellent, you really nailed the TOS series Centurion voice perfectly.

  • All base now belong to us!

  • impresive and much better than the original of the episode :D

    congratulations

  • Cool! How did you make the Cylon Voice?

  • Great Job!

  • Your's is better...good job.

  • love it

  • Is the original the Orange Vocoder plug-in ??

  • EMS Vocoder 2000W Mk1 (beta-version) using a saxophone as the carrier-input (external-oscillator), along with the Marshall 5502 Time-Modulator!!!!

  • Perfect. Cylong Song

  • Excellent Job...Just curious if you used an EMS to replicate the sound. Please take a listen to mine if you get a chance...these were done on my Microkorg, and I'm sure with all the available mods I can change, there's got to be a way to refine the sound...just not sure exactly what I need to adjust...please let me know what you think. Again, your's sounds great!

    (cleverone241 on youtube)

  • @cleverone241 The first sounds like a plug-in. The second sounds better.

  • How did you make the original cylon voice?

  • About the ONLY worthwhile thing to come out of Caprica.

  • What did you use to make your voice like the original cylon?

  • it sounds like Soundwave from Transformer

  • @KhmerD0g The Cylons from BSG:TOS are the EMS Vocoder 2000W Mk1 (beta-version)!! Soundwave is the Roland VP-330 Vocoder Plus (not sure if it's the Mk1 or the Mk2 version).

  • No, the original Cylon voices were done with a EMS Vocoder model 2000, Ive done vocoder research for over 20 years and own a few different ANALOG vocoders from the 1970's, including the EMS model. Type it in here on YT and you will hear the sounds of an EMS vocoder

  • Not bad. I should point out that original Cylon voice was used in "Razor" to go along with the RIS version of the TOS Centurions.

  • Love the video. I'm to Caprica what the Gleeks are to Glee! I just watched last nights episode at capricastreamingonline (.) com

  • The first vioce sounds like the vioce of the super computor from Clossus: the forbin project. That's a great movie.

The Soviet and American computers join together and run the world

  • I like your verison, I just think it needed to be louder and deeper, if that makes any sense.

  • Not bad sounds, it is right on for a Cylon that is still under construction, and has reached full level of programming. I think your step up is more in the middle of the complete sound voice range from the aired, your yours, to the original created by Peter Berkos. Good job, and thanks for sharing.
