@Mattamster that's titan. you'll have to undergo a series of missions to get an audience with him. you wont fight him though he just gives you tough monsters to fight.

@SlowSlowSloth no, final fantasies don't really go in order. Each is an independent story and game with a few similar elements (spells, monsters and such). On top of that FF14 is an MMO similar to what World of Warcraft is so you more or less create your own story rather than follow the RPG style witch all other numerical Final Fantasies are (except for 11 which is also an MMO). I'd recommend doing some research before getting 14 though. Apparently the making didn't go over too well. :(

I wish that Square Enix would use words that most people use int he English version. I mean, for the Chocobo, it says morale and who uses that word?! And then Commando? Ravager? Syngerist and Sabatour (well, I've heard of SABATOUGE)? And then SENTINEL? Japanese has English words too that anyone would understand. Medic I understand but some might not. Their words are much better. They say mission start instead of mission commenced. Attacher, blaster, defender, healer, syngerist, and sabatour.

@medwards8820 Complete mission 14, if I am not wrong.... it is a mission to kill some normal-weak enemies to save a choccobo. Once you finish the mission, you will be able to ride the choccobos and there will be lots of choccobos around. Hope it helped.

In order to get access to the chocobos, you must first complete the side quest missions given to you by the Cie'th Stones. You have to complete Mark Missions 12-14. 14 gives you the Gysahl Reins which allows you to ride chocobos whenever you see them.
