This is the best BOSS music of all times! Easly kicking ass of Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Sonic Knuckles, Knuckles chaoticmks and others. As a child, i stoped playing Sonic 1 becaus the springyard zone was so awfull, so i became a Sonic 2 fan. I gave Sonic 1 anther chance, and it really is a totally different game! Even the gameplay is different. And this massive music makes it so epic to play. The zone i like the least is Labytinth, but the music of it is awesome!

Bring back the retro consoles I say, games were so much fun to play, obviously not hi tech graphics like today, but the playability of almost every game released was awesome! No matter how many times you completed it! :)

This type of emotion isn't shown much in later boss fights in the series. It's a sad, intimidating, powerful song, the only thing close to it is the S3K boss songs, but they were faster and more intimidating (not the S3 miniboss, that was an MJ song you want to spin and moonwalk to.)

Well I agree with everything you said about the Sonic 1 boss music itself but I think that Sonic 2's final boss music is also sad, intimidating and powerful but not any of S3/K. Don't get me wrong, Doomsday's theme is in a 4 way tie with Sonic 2's Final Boss music, Sonic Spinball's boss music and of course Sonic 1's but Doomsday gives you a cool kind of feeling but not an intimidating one at all.

Sonic 2's final boss theme wasn't as sad and intimidating, but not so much powerful. Sonic 3K seems to combine the power with the sadness the best, and it still fits in suspenseful moments, like Lava Reef Act 3. Doomsday was sadder than the rest of the themes (impending doom) but the S3/K Final Boss theme was not sad, but very epic, the emotions are hard to describe.
