The biggest tragedy in American politics has been the successful tactics of the DNC to secure African American votes - no matter what. The average African American has values that are FAR more consistent with the GOP, yet they vote - almost unanimously - with the DNC... election after election. In fact, it has become so systemic that any black person who actually THINKS about the issues, and makes an "individual" choice (like every other demographic), is castigated as a "race traitor". I disagree. It appears to me that more than 90% of black voters favor candidates who promise to give to them wealth confiscated from someone who earned it and they want it from a smooth talker who looks like them. I'm not a republican but Buchannan made some good points before he got a little personal. Mike Paul keeps saying "big tent.." etc, but Pat's right. Those are just cliches. The reality is that most latinos and immigrants just don't identify with the Republicans' message of limited government. The biggest tragedy in American politics has been the successful tactics of the DNC to secure African American votes - no matter what. The average African American has values that are FAR more consistent with the GOP, yet they vote - almost unanimously - with the DNC... election after election. In fact, it has become so systemic that any black person who actually THINKS about the issues, and makes an "individual" choice (like every other demographic), is castigated as a "race traitor". Meaning if two people have the same test scores than the minority manor woman gets the scale tipped. If unqualified people are getting in to meet a quota, that would be affirmative action abuse. Socialist societies cannot keep up with capitalist ones. We always out produce them. Even the ones in the states are getting tax retuuurrrrns. Of millions and billions. Americans are losing jobs due to outsourcing and visa abuse by bringing in Indians from India to do jobs that Americans can do but for 1/3 of the price. Hence colege graduates cannot get jobs.

And illegal immigrants mexicans come in and drive down prices on lower end work and have been for years. This puts more regular Americans into poverty because they have to lower there prices to compete. So let take another recap of capitalism: The companies and wealthy do not pay taxes and often get money back.
The poor people don't even have to file taxes.

I'm not a republican but Buchannan made some good points before he got a little personal. Mike Paul keeps saying "big tent.." etc, but Pat's right. Those are just cliches. The reality is that most latinos and immigrants just don't identify with the Republicans' message of limited government. Pat's right when he says they have to choose between sacrificing their ideals to win more votes or staying true to what they supposedly believe.

Even though the GOP won 62 seats in 2010 and won the House and gained 6 seats in the Senate, it doesn't mean that the GOP has really bounced back. Their gains where a gift due to a still struggling economy, history, and an electorate that was older and 80% white. If the GOP looked at what Eisenhower did, Eisenhower won 39% of the black vote in 1952 and 1956.
