  • what a fantastic arrangement! and Bartok always sounds good transcribed for the piano, similar to Beethoven & Stravinsky (who all composed at or from the piano). WHERE CAN I GET A PRINTED COPY OF THIS ARRANGEMENT?? Thanks!

  • I would love to get a copy as well - I'd like to see the annotation for this movement's initial drumstick-ing - I wonder what Sandor uses, and where he taps? I'll see what I can find. The recording itself was exceedingly difficult to find.

  • I have a copy. You can order it from Boosey&Hawkes online. The markings are very interesting -- it says to use a pencil or other hard object for the snare drum. The other neat thing about it is that it has a photocopy of the original manuscript of this piano arrangement written by Bartok himself.
