  • ElVIS,JD are both angels in gods band

  • OMFG..he looked puffy!

  • it seams like the band practies with out him or maybe elvis showed up to one practis in this area. he played the same group of songs and medelys at all his later shows.

  • It's a little sad to see how rapidly his health deteriorated. Just five years before he looked great. Still, he is pretty good here.

  • 1:05 listen to Charly singing by himself, "seems I've been lost in a dream..." he's superfunny.

  • mygod this is boring..... whoever say this man is better then king MJ is delusional

  • @Jasey2007

I'm sorry what Mental Institution did you say you represented?

Ah yes, Grand Assanine Retard Asylum

  • OMG he was in his early forties and he looked like an AARP veteren. Sad when you grew up with him.

  • lol with that drumkit you could play the meanest death metal rolls xD

  • Why is Charlie Hodge's harmony so loud in this vocal mix, compared to that of the backup group? He's drowning out J.D., the Stamps, the Sweet Inspirations, AND Sherill Nielsen!

  • @JakeMabe1 ....LET ME ASK...CHARLIE...WHY HE IS HARMONYN TO LOUD...AND ILL GET BACK TO YOU...OK

  • @cityhen Uhh, not sure if you're trying to be funny or what, but my point is the sound mix was bad, unusual since this was being recorded for CBS.

  • @JakeMabe1 ...I WAS JUST KIDDING WITH YOU...AND YES THERE WAS 2 CONCERTS FILM...BECAUSE THE FIRST SHOW WAS NOT THAT GOOD...SO THEY TOOK MATERIAL FROM BOTH SHOWS TODO ONE CONCERT...AND YES THE SOUND MIX WAS VERRY BAD...

  • @JakeMabe1 Elvis switched mics. He sang into one, and had his guitar on another mic on the stand. When he got through playing the guitar, they removed the mic stand and Elvis took the mic that was used for guitar, and Charlie took E's main mic and used it. I've got the whole video concert and it's like that.

  • @dennydeckerful That makes a whole lot more sense. I always wondered why these clips were so poorly recorded...

  • Love you Elvis...

  • Elvis was an amazing entertainer and human being.

  • THE KING

  • col.parkers is dutch and im dutch to

  • I hope the devil shoved his burning pitchfork through Col. Parkers' heart when he arrived in hell.

  • @matizzle32 the guy didnt have a heart

  • awe Elvis is the best. I hope he is resting in peace now and forever! Thanks Elvis, Scotty J

  • col. [parker booked elvis twice a night, because col, parker was a gambler, and he profit from elvis, that is the reason no one can sing twice a night, his voice was great!!!! annalies

  • not one of my favorites from Elvis. But I love this man so much i feel sorry for all the bullshit he was dealing with behind the scenes. They wore him out plain and simple. What I would give to just have had a chance to go for a coffee with Elvis, shoot the shit, let him tell me all about what was going on in his life, I bet I could have been a great friend of his! God Bless the king, we miss you so much!

  • The greatest man and entertainer to grace our planet,Elvis always and forever.

  • was this directed towards the fans? the body guards who wrote the book? his ex? his girlfriend? he said this is the story of my life and i wish I knew who he was exposing. r.i.p. E you was the best amerca had to offer in entertainment.

  • what month was this concert??

  • Elvis should not have been on stage in 1977.He was always charasmatic but vocally he was weak.

  • @Fodderingham I very much disagree with this! All you have to do is hear him sing Unchained Melody or My Way or all those vocally challenged songs he did in 77

  • @weirdoscherich Yes, Elvis could hit some high notes in his final year but his total voice control was all but gone. I have many concerts from his final year and the running theme is of an artist who is vocally exhausted. There were some nights where he showed some of his previous magic but on the whole he was totally spent. I have spoken to many people who were there at the time and they said Elvis just dreaded going on tour in the final two years. He was a trouper and mostly did his best.

  • @Fodderingham Well no one is perfect! I just don't hear his voice being weak in general. He had his nights where his voice was weak there is no question about that but thats any singer who constantly tours like he did. It seems he dreaded touring more because of his health and he didn't feel well!

  • great man , a god sent

  • W Elvis !!!!!!!!

  • love elvis.....his great.....gentlemen all the way....

  • he has a slob's belly and outer sight but he's super cute

  • @seennlisten If you felt that way why didn't you just click off as a matter of fact. ELVIS always had to wear a bullet proff vest and was also very sick with numerous problems . SO be careful what you say what goes around comes around only with you you willl not be sick you will just be FAT. NO OFFENSE Normally I am easy going but to speak about someone like ELVIS this way is just hurtful to we who LOVE HIM. Hugs Bobbie

  • Man, all I can hear is Charlie Hodge in the background vocals.

  • He still looked good.

    <3

  • Amazing.. just amazing!!!

  • elvis is the best entertainer, what a great person

  • SUPERBE VOIX, toujours et encore. Incomparable notre ELVIS. Immortel également.

  • Elvis did look so sickly here, bless his heart, he shouldn't have even been performing , should have been home or even in the hospital! But he still gave all he could to the fans!

  • @TheLovingelvis elvis was very sick at this point very tired and very saf always be missed T C B

  • @TheLovingelvis elvis was very sick at this point very tired and very sad always be missed T C B

  • This was written by the POINTER SISTERS... Gotta show some love for the talented POINTERS

  • what a beautiful song! and sung so beautifully!

  • CU 6 SAPT INAINTE DE A MOARTE INCA ELECTRIZA PUBLICUL

  • The Colonel, Vernon, and the Kings so called friends, should never allowed someone so ill to go near a stage. The King lives on, but he was let down by a greedy manager/friends/ and family.

  • @tjsece according to Larry Geller he saw the colonel and someone else in the bathroom dunking Elvis' head in ice water to revive him and when the colonel noticed that he saw he told Larry " remember this, there's only one thing that matters and that is that that man is on stage tonight ! " so that was the colonel for ya.

  • @Mr1962KDSelvis Yeah. I just read that in his book.

  • Love this outtake might not look too good.

but his singing was just awesome

  • 42 going on 60....so sad..

  • I just watched an Elvis video clip from the film 'That's the Way it is' from 1970, he had a 32" waist, looked really happy and in the best physical shape of his life. To see the shape and how unhealthy Elvis looked just 7 years later is truly heartbreaking.

  • Charlies mike was too loud on this outtake from the C.B.S tv special <listen to the "Elvis in concert" album its a lot better as the vocal just features Elvis ( its the same version ).

  • @MJL3764 Charlie lived next door to me in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. He gave me some pretty cool Elvis items while he was still alive. I think Charlie was a great and close friend to Elvis.

  • It's like he was singing to his critics and ppl who wrote bad things about him :

"I don't want to hear another word u have to say....nothing will get better if i stay.... u used me u decieved me ....but i bet u won't forget me when i go !"

    ELVIS FOREVER

  • At this point in his career the people went see Elvis and not to hear him sing. He was a legend. Long live the king!

  • I watched this over again and believe me I am a BIG Elvis fan. When Charlie and Elvis sing they are both off big time.. Listen to Elvis he is so high he can't even sing the song.. Now this is really SAD.. I feel sorry for him. Over worked, KNOW sleep, to many concerts, and to many Drugs. WOW Sad this concert... Elvis is trying to sing the song if you really listen close. To bad,,,,,

  • Sounds better on album. Don't sing Charlie!

  • Charlie Hodge was high. Not Elvis.

  • I think Elvis was the BEST but this was really bad I hate to say. Everyone was off tune and Elvis was just to HIGH to sing that night. What a shame all this happen to him. WOW and those around him were called friends. Glad I don't have his..

  • Absolutely right .... And I'm a big fan - but this is sad.

  • I love Elvis and this song is amazing!

  • trust me no matter wat he will always be the king even in the next 100 years and will still be selling albums.

  • elvi s is ytthe king we must keep him alive jeffr 2009

  • he was suppose to have people there watching him... but for some reason they wasnt watching close enought

  • I love Elvis, but, couldn't the people around him have looked after him better?

  • special voice!!!!!!!!!!

  • Just as sexy as ever, even more so with the weight.

  • charlie hodge sounds like an old man

  • el elv elvi elvis elvis i elvis is elvis is t elvis is th elvis is the elvis is the g elvis is the gr elvis is the gre elvis is the greatest copy and paste to every elvis vid if u think its true
  • @moggy87 This is very Queer?

  • I love this song!! I love Elvis Thanks so much posting!!

  • elvts was great until the very end,and the hell with all so friends of his. thier day will come.

  • Don't blame his friends. They did everything they could do. He took too many pills. And that is why he died on us so early. We miss him so much. He died before my time. But I heard him sing on my first record vinyl when I was 11 years old when I bought it. And from then on I keep him in my heart, no matter how he had died.

  • Nice dose of reality Petra, I believe Elvis suffered mental issues which led him to drugs and it is silly to blame his friends for his demise. I also admire him and always will.

  • First of my name is Petar not "Petra" and he never had mental problems. But he was taking sleeping pills to calm him down after he went to bed each night. That is what I have heard and read. But after his divorce to Priscilla his life turned upside down :( I also wish he was still here with us

  • Very anal to worry about how your name is spelled on a forum such as this. Never had mental problems eh? That's your opininon, how long have you worked in the area of mental health? That Elvis had to take pills 'to calm down', that his life 'turned upside down' after his divorce as you put it are clear indicators of mental issues. He displayed many other obvious symtoms of something called clinical depression . As you believe everything you read and hear, look that up you goose.

  • Okay, I will. Which books? Does that state what you are stating here? Let me read the outcomes of his "mental problems"

  • Pedro, Read my comments carefully then you won't waste my time with stupid questions. Learn about clinical depression, think laterally and I'm sure even you will be able to join the dots. Thanks for the thumbs downs too, very adult.

  • I gave you thumbs up :) I must have clicked the other one, sorry friend. You might be right about Elvis. He was phisically depressed. He took those pills as well. But he should have not taken that many. He lost his twin brother, his mother and his singing made him feel better, but at times he must felled down under the weather.

  • his voice was perfect at the end

  • Not only was he overweight but swollen in the face...I love Elvis. I live in Vegas and know one of the dumb ass doctors who treated him....it makes me sick and sad to think Elvis couldn't see he was being used...he died in his forties...what kind of medical treatment is that????? I would have died of exhaustion if I were Elvis...he did alright.. he was the best....his doctors?

  • ok we all know he was overwieght but you know what exxagerates it is his sideburns the high collars and the scarf around his neck , try it and see it does make anyone look fuller in the face

  • I would like everyone who disses Elvis to look at this. He looks overweight, yes. However, he doesn't look nearly as overweight as people love to claim. Great video.

  • ELVIS THE KING FOREVER!!!

  • ELVIS ALWAYS BE THE KING!

  • very nice!

  • very nice picture..rare he did this one a very good find
