How To Make iPhone Ringtones Using iTunes for Free

hi, once i put it in the ringtone library i went to my phone folder, and the clicked on ringtones and the only ringtones that showed up were the ones i bought

Ok, I created a new folder on my desktop and saved all my songs in there. Then I did the exact same process as the video I made and it worked...if this doesnt work let me know

@Snubs1957 No you have not missed anything because the same thing is happening to me. I've tried it multiple times and it worked only once. The way I did it was save the song to my desktop.

I think it is not there bc it is saving in a wrong place. I upgraded to iOS and I kept getting a message that it cant find the original file. I tried making ringtones and realized that one song finally worked because it was getting it from another folder. That is prob what is happening to you. I'll try to figure out how to get it to stop that.

Thanks for making this easier. One question. I have iTunes 10 and a 4s phone, I can not finc "ACC Encoder" in my list. And at present, iTunes does not recognize my phone.

Help please..

ok try this,,,Edit=>Preferences, then under "General" look at "When you insert a CD" choose "Import Settings", then under "Import Using", choose "AAC Encoder",,,Hope that helps =)

Hi. when I right click a song, I only get "create mp3 version" instead of "create acc version". I had create many ring tones in the pass. Not sure why itune replace my acc version tap to mp3 version. Any idea how I can get it back?

When you do "Get info", then under info, do anyone of the names have the ext in them? If so, then delete it

My songs dont have m4a behind them but when i try to drag it, it shows m4a while im dragging it so how do i change it?

do u have an iphone 3gs or 4?

if it is not showing the extension then you have to enable it on your computer. If you have Windows then go to Control Panel => Appearances and Personalization => Folder Options => Choose the "View" tab => Under "Advanced" make sure that "Hide extensions for known file types" is UNCHECKED,,,once you do that then it should show it

How come my file names only show the name of the songs without the ext. mp3, m4r. etc... That's my problem. I'm unable to rename it. It won't let me view the ext
