It's a shame that he was not voted into the HOF during his life. A great baseball player, a great person and today one of the newest members of the Hall of Fame. Hey Hey!
I agree Ron Santo should be in The hall of Fame but if he was Mr Cub as ernie banks was why was he Trade to white sox in his last year.....U would had think cheap skate Mr wrigley who cost Cubs 69 title also he was!
Chicago cubs organization suffered a huge loss, im a die hard cubs fan and its hard to think that i will not hear his voice on the radio anymore, and never see him at any cubs games. he was a great, its weird to think that he is gone now, RIP Ron Santo. Now please HOF, vote him in, he really deserves it big time. great video
@BoNePrOdUcTiOnS1 Ron was one of the best 3rd baseman to play the game and he deserves to be in the Hall. He played the game the pure way like it should be played. The thing that I liked the most was that he lived and died with the Cubs, good times and bad and never quit on them like a lot of fans do.
@bigseanpower10 I 110% agree. now players do it for the money and fame, he did it for fun and gave people a fun time at a game. even on the radio he was awesome.
Great video bigsean. incredibly moving. It was growing up listening to Ronnie & Pat doing games on the radio that turned me into a Cubs fan. He played the game right, and what a great example of perseverance. Get him in the HoF already!
@Firebirdfrenzy79 I couldn't agree more man, not only was Ron the great example of perseverance but he was the type of player that gave baseball the title of "our nation's past time" . He played the game the right way unlike a lot of players today examples being Mcgwire, Bonds, Palmeiro, etc. Put it this way, in my eyes Roger Maris is still the record holder for most homers in a season and Hank Aaron with the all time record.
Congratulations Ron. Wish you could be here to enjoy the Hall of Fame. We miss you and love you!
