This performance is far better than her original audition, but of course, that moment will still remain in our minds as the turning point in her life and the moment we all learned a valuable lesson.

@ewultd Well said! Susan is a brilliant example of what phenomena can be achieved when one has enough faith in one's dreams. She dreamed her dream for 25+ years and then.....when the time was ripe for action she seized the day and won through at an incredibly fast pace (the Universe likes speed). So fast it left her and all of us reeling. She picked herself back up and the rest is herstory (not history!).
I love this version as much as the audition. On the BGT audition she gave her all in order to get a good impression. This one is more polished and she looks more confident...

I agree with the producer of Les Mis...it's safe to say that Susan Boyle OWNS this song now! Nobody can sing it with so much emotion, so much power, and so much dynamic variation.

I totally agree! Susan's audition of that Les Mis song on Britain's Got Talent TRIPLED ticket sales for that Broadway musical.
And she absolutely deserves all the tremendous success and praise that people have given her. She's such a beautiful human being and I would be honored to meet her in person. And I enjoy listening to her CD everyday!!

I hear a lot of people say they still perfer her original audition to her later performances

She reminded the world what is the most important in life. Not necessary winning competitions, not necessary being the 1st all the time, but doing what you do with a heart and a soul, and staying true to who you are. With her simplicity, purity, talent and love, she disarmed the cruelty, arrogance and mistrust in people. We could see the transformation right before our eyes, that's why this story is so amazing.
The leaders of the world should learn from her how to be real human beings again.

AND she is how a real performer should be, Graceful and Humble. She may be rich and famous now, but she sure don't act like it,

She dreamed her dream for 25+ years and then.....when the time was ripe for action she seized the day and won through at an incredibly fast pace (the Universe likes speed). So fast it left her and all of us reeling. She picked herself back up and the rest is herstory (not history!).

Bless all the different nationalities who support Susan and took her into their hearts. Bless the actors, actresses and celebrities who genuinely wish Susan well.
